Henderson 25, Elanga 15, McT 25, Fred 15 = £80m

Think we should get slightly more for McT, but we will have done well if we managed to get rid of all 4 in one window.

As already mentioned Elanga goes for under 10, Henderson 15 + add ons, we're not necessarily selling McTominay and Fred, you're right, 15 m. That's 40-65 tops with McTom sold.

The rumoured cost is around 10m pounds

City get up to £15m for Shea Charles from Saints and we get £10m from a Prem club for a player who's actually played a few games. I'm not saying this to slate us, it's more just disbelief that City have got so many good fees from Saints in the last 12 months.

Also Elanga is a full international.

Mount is Fred's replacement, if Amrabat happens then Mctominay is gone.
We can rid of McTominay without replacing him - Mainoo and Hannibal will share his minutes. But it would of course be beneficial to also sign someone - Amrabat or other

But did they...or was this partly subsidised by an offshore account??

Don't disbelieve.... Sport Republic (Southampton's owner) are the official supplier of footballs to Man City. They sell each genuine leather football to City for £1m, selling them a new one each week. Rumour has it that Southampton can afford to buy all these new players because they make a lot of money selling footballs.

I guess you answered yourself. It is same club with ex city employee at a recruiting position if I am not wrong. It could be dodgy, you never know

I agree with you, I don't think its necessary to have a specialist back up DM. The scenarios which lead to Casemiro missing games are unlikely to reoccur. But we definitely need someone who can do a better job there than Mctominay. At Madrid it was Valverde covering the role but Valverde isn't a specialist as we know. It depends if Mainoo can step up.

Half the problem is people have seen him play.

Why? That’s exactly what we are likely doing - and preferably VDB as well
We were short of midfielders last season in the run due to injuries
We have lost Sabitzer already
Fred will be let go
Mount is in
I think we will get another midfielder to bulk up the midfield but I just can’t see us selling McTominay.
Donny doesn’t come in to the conversation
