What's the point of another Weghorst type sticking plaster? If there's no cash then forget January and start planning for the summer

Would agree with that , it is not as if we are chasing a league title , even top 4 is out of reach already.

If we are that tight on money , just don't spend anything.

Plan and start working now for a summer clear out of the players we can get out and players we can realistically get in and then just put everything we have on that.

Muller might be fun, but I still hope we gamble 17m on Guirassy. He would at least have some resale value if it doesn’t work here. Timo should be a nonstarter.
So let's not get a well established striker but one who might just be a one season wonder?

We don't fecking need a striker, we need wingers and a 10 that can actually do anything besides stat padding.

I’d rather Guirassy but as things stand we can’t afford anything. So a loan it is!

(unless we offload Sancho i suspect?)

Selling Sancho won't make much difference to our FFP I'd assume given he's got 2(?) Years left on his deal we'd be looking at 32M roughly to break even on FFP. No chance we're making much more than that, it would only be his wages that we'd be saving on moving forward and they are built into each years FFP so probably about 7/8M space this season if we sold him for 32M

Such uninspiring transfer news. Seems desperate, nothing good usually comes out of desperation.
Would greet any sales with a cheer.

Please no more terrible loan deals or stop gaps, we have enough dross as it is. Make it stop!

The only player I'd want us to bring in this January is Tobido. If we can't get him right now just use this month to sort out our football structure and start planning for a big summer.

Sales are needed to be able to sign a striker and a cb. Not sure whether we can.

Start playing McHugill at st please when Hojlund needs rest.

Yeah agree so sick of these loan deals and stop gap signings.
I swear no top club makes these kind of signings as much as us.

Seems like the modern player just expects to be paid more and more until the day they retire. Yet in the good old days at United you were lucky to get more than a 1 year extension after your 30th birthday.

DDG would still be here if he put his ego/pride to one side and accepted being paid 150k a week instead of 300k.

Varane isn't being pushed out or treated badly either, if United ask him to accept a lower wage to reflect his current performances.

Funny how FFP only effects us. Meanwhile Barca was pulling levers left, right and center despite not paying players, Boehly is selling duds to Saudi for blatantly inflated fees and City just do what they want and ignore the rules.

No point buying any striker. We need a creative winger.

Letting West Ham sign 17-goal Guirassy for €20m while we go and buy 2-goal and proven PL flop Werner would be peak United

I've always thought Werner would be a huge upgrade over Martial, which is what the role would be. He has energy, if nothing else.

At least one academy keeper will also be loaned out this month.

We waste all our money on rubbish the manager wants, play poorly, realise there are still massive issues in the team, realise there's no money left because it's already been wasted, then desperately seek to bolster the squad with crap loans to appease a desperate manager who hasn't got a clue what he's doing.

It's as predictable as it is ridiculous. The sooner Ineos brings in competent people to put an end to this madness, the better

Agreed. The offensive players behind the striker are either utter shite or allergic to passing the ball to teammates in better position. If we actually started playing more as a team and there was an ounce of creativity in the side, Hojlund would have been much more productive.

Source (Tier 1):

Spain's Mateo Mejia spent almost three years injured when he joined Manchester United: "Every time I ran, my ankle would go clack clack clack".

His contract expires in June...and Sevilla want to sign him for their reserve team. He is an U-20 international with Colombia.

Excellent, should give us a free run at Choupo-Moting.

I know Bayern are a really good club, and that naturally helps him to get some free goals - but it still puzzles me how he before this season had 35 goals in 88 matches - which is quite decent considering how many matches he started on the bench

I think your sources are unreliable.
