What we reckoning then based on current rumours?

Out
McTominay - 35
Maguire - 30
Fred - 20/30
Van De Beek - 15/20
Bailly - 5/10
Martial - 15/20

Total - 110/140

In
Amrabaat - 30
Mainoo - Free
Tobido - 30
A ST loan/short term deal?
In's & Out's at the prices touted around could leave us with 50-80m.

Would be a great window if we got all the outs and then an experienced striker (on top of Amrabat & Tobido) who can score goals in and take the pressure of Højlund for a while

£60m allows us to get rid of two players we don’t want and get in two players we want. Plus Maguire’s ridiculous salary gone. Hopefully we don’t get too greedy.
There's no indication we don't want McTominay.

Not too sure about two, but will help us in getting Amrabat.

Why would we not want an upgrade on McT? He's just not good enough and needs to move. He'll be a great asset to a club lower down in the PL.
From what I've read, McTominay is the one who wants play time. We are happy to sell for a good fee as he's not a key player.

Does the fact that he won't be getting enough game time not suggest we don't want him? Obviously, the club aren't going to give the impression they want to get rid of him as it could affect his price. ETH is probably happy enough to keep him for another year as a squad player but I can't imagine he's seen as one with a long-term future at the club.

We would be mad to turn down £60-65m for both. If McTominay stays, don’t want it, it’s fair enough but £30m for Maguire is a no brainer.

As much as many believe they are worth more money, what they are actually worth to us on the pitch is not very much. Mistakes, disappearing in games and generally not up to the standard of player we need in the squad if we want to start competing at the top again. McTominay is pure profit and Maguire was never ever worth the ridiculous amount of money we paid for him. Had we paid the £40m he was worth in 2019 we’d be happy as a pig in shit letting him go now for £30m.

I think 75M would be good price for them so most likely we would accept 70 M + 5 M add-ons.

Exactly! I wouldn’t even go into negotiation and asking for 5-10 mio. more. 60 mio. £ for both are fine! We’re grieving to get rid of these and some of other players and now there’s a big chance and we shall not skip it.

Price went up by 10 mil to 60 mil for the double bid within a couple of hours. Reckon it will reach 70 mil until tomorrow.

They're both probably ~£35m players so I'd take £30m for each of them at this stage. They have no real value to Ten Hag.

He'll be match fit around the end of September. Will play 60 minutes and then we won't see him again for two months. Rinse and repeat.

It'd be one thing if he played in a quarter of our games and made a meaningful impact, but he doesn't. He comes back into the squad looking like he needs a full preseason. And then promptly gets injured. But not injured in an obvious way, he walks comfortably off , is declared injured and then spends the next month in the PT room.

Think Jose and Ole both got criticized for wanting players to play through injuries. But there's a difference between a niggle and a serious injury and I do wonder if Martial is just too wary of aggravating the former to ever be psychologically and physically able to play at the top level any more.

You HAVE to accept £30m for Maguire in this kind of situation. What's another £5m going to do to the books? It's a loss whichever way you look at it and he is a truly shocking football player on massive wages.

I understand asking for £40m to £45m for Mctom though. In the right situation, very useful player.

Ah that’s a fecking shame! I just can’t get my head around the McTominay lovefest. Never have. £30m for that level of talent is great.

On the last part - I thought West Ham have bid for Maguire or have we also rejected that?

Especially if it lets us bring in another ten hag target

We'd be stupid to reject this offer and end up keeping them.

With those 60 million we could probably get Amrabat and Pavard.

McTominay is worth the £40m they were offering for Gallagher and Maguire is also worth £35m in today's market, no matter this grief us fans give him.

£60m for the pair is a low ball offer to get us to the table, this will be done for £70m + £5m in add ons.

75 million for both, that means we can spend another 375millions on players under ffp?... Awesome Kane and Mbappe thank you very much.

We're well within our rights to want more than 30m for McTominay.

Definitely.

Plus it sounds like the 30m bid for Maguire we haven't rejected and we're in talks with them about it.

People will moan but I think we're being pretty sensible with both offers.

Not sure about this. I can envisage a repeat of the Henderson situation where supposedly strategic tough line has seen us hang onto a player whose value has significantly depreciated. There are lots of cheaper and technically better players available all over Europe, who can even bring a certain amount of 'drive' to the mix; we should be grateful that Moyes is as fixated on a British core, it seems, as Ole was. Except that West Ham's exec are significantly less cash-flush than ours under Woodward, whilst they've also brought in a DOF as countervoice, so they won't be spending desperate amounts on mid-table players.

We're going to see Scott popping up for 35 appearances minimum, start and bench, chest forward, running around a lot, mistiming tackles, hiding from the ball except where he has acres of space, and taking up the place of, say, Mainoo because of his seniority. No other club, short of a Middle Eastern one, would offer more than 20m for him, either because of their finances or because of their status (i.e they're targeting better, sharper players), at least now that Newcastle seem to be out of the running...

I can understand £35m in a skewed market like it is right now but £45m is a ridiculous valuation for Mctominay no matter how you slice it.
