Kind of exaggerated by Sport Witness, but here you go:

Tune in now to Sport1 --> I'll be tuned in there. It's all about Kevin Trapp! Latest info: No offer from Eintracht Frankfurt yet --> Manchester would have to pay € 15 - 20 million --> #Eintracht wants to "counter" with a contract extension

Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche on the Trapp links to Amazon Prime:
The facts are clear. There is no offer. Kevin is playing in the Champions League with us.

SGE manager Oliver Glasner on Trapp:
I’m not the last decision-maker, Kevin and the club have to decide that in the end. From a sporting point of view, I would of course like to keep such a great keeper and person. He’s a great role model. Always one of the first in training.

EDIT: Trapp's current salary at Frankfurt is €3.5m/year

How difficult is it to find a reserve GK?!

Should have been obvious that to sign a reserve keeper you probably wont be able to take a first choice keeper on the cheap.

I guess that was too complex a thought for Murtough.

Romano reports a higher purchase option/conditional obligation amount for Bailly to Marseille and also reports that Marseille will cover the majority of Bailly's salary:

According to Whitwell, United want more than just a backup to de Gea; they want a new keeper to compete against him and possibly overcome him. They don't necessarily want a #2 who's content with sitting on the bench else we'd have stuck with Tom Heaton for that.

Not sure I'm a fan of that half way house solution... Either get a keeper who's great and make him your number one, or get a number 2 who you can rely on if DDG gets injured for a while (I don't think Tom Heaton is the guy for such an event).

To get a number 2 who could potentially be your number 1 is pretty tricky.

Not sure they're sensationalising it. The 'Immoral offer' line is in the Sport1 article if you allow chrome to translate it.

feck that go after Bazunu from City, he wont be starting for them anytime soon.

That's fine. I was being picky on Sport Witness just highlighting the maximum amount instead of the range that Sport1 reported.

Agreed. This gk situation should have been resolved at the start of the summer as well. EtH would only have to watch our highlights from the last 4 years to know DdG isn’t up to the role.

As soon as all this Glazers out and people saying they’ll buy the club we signed Casemiro very quickly and othered were to follow. Good result against Liverpool and now it’s all gone quiet. They’ve fooled us again.

so after winning against Liverpool we only want to sign one player at £80 million - and you are complaining ? And btw - if de Jong becomes available, I guarantee there will be money to sign him

So since the Liverpool win we’ve dropped out of the Gakpo deal and FDJ interest has ended

These fecking owners man last week the brief was we are in for upto 4 players before the deadline.

Yeah but now they think EtH can work miracles with dross, so they are chilling out with the spending. They probably think that United fans will just be happy now we won a game.

Whitwell has always poured cold water on the 4 players before deadline schtick though, it doesn’t even say dropping out it says fading and whitwell has always said that he didn’t believe (personally) that we’d sign both

Let’s see if we get him first, from reports everyone is waiting on United to made a higher bid but compare that to Casemiro we just steamrolled it and that was dealing with Real Madrid!

That reads like an incredibly speculative piece from someone who's so reliable. As of now, Chelsea are still pushing hard for Fofana, and even then, I'm not sure how hard they'll push for Maguire given that he was just a passing mention when United asked about Pulisic.

Parasites. They will leave you just enough to keep living off ya.

Why is it fading though is the question? It wouldn’t be fading from Gakpo. I’m sure he would join even if they get champions league. So it’s down to the owners and spending. I’d be surprised if we signed more than Antony.

Genuinely feels like the win means the club has scaled down its ambitions in the transfer market.

Joke of a club. Impossible to see ETH succeeding in the long term with these sorts of circumstances.

We’re still at least a RB, another CM, a RW, and a GK away from becoming a functional team. Seems like we’ll be lucky to get a single one of those this year.

 Classic

Notice how everything has slowed again to a crawl based on a one off win against a hobbled Liverpool. How typical. If we lost that game on Monday, Antony would be having his medical by now with Gakpo and a CM pencilled in for Thursday.

All because there’s not as many updates and the CAF complains that Fab puts out nonsense updates, I wonder why!

Come on, no need to make stuff up. Check my post history, you’ll find that I’ve been complaining all summer about our inability to offload dross, and secure players suited to ETH’s approach ;)

A win against a Liverpool in poor form isn’t, and shouldn’t be, any sort of reason to revise that opinion. Every day that passes without the club being able to bring in the requisite players, is a day lost in the training ground, and points conceded further down the road as a result.

Yeah utterly disgraceful but totally expected
