Salah signed for Liverpool at 25 years old. He was considered a gamble at £34m. Nobody for saw the kind of improvement Salah has had since then.

Are we playing with months? Salah was like 4-6 months older than current Rashford when he signed with Liverpool. It's not like we are talking about years.

Ducker reported a few hours back that Bayern Munich are monitoring his situation and will go for him if they can't get their top targets.

Exactly. He is not a top target. And I doubt they would spend more than 20 millions for him. They probably monitoring him to see if they can get for free next year.

He's a target for this summer, though, not the next one. Contrast that to Raheem Sterling, who's only been strongly linked to Arsenal for this summer.

There is no way Bayern would spend 20 or 30 mil

Well for start he lacks their talent and mentality. Martial had the talent but lacked mentality. Rashford is no where close to these players. Salah at age 25 to 26 was already considered in top 5 players of the world.

Mane at 24 just had a season where he scored 11 goals for Southampton. Good yes - brilliant ?No. Rashford has struggled for 18 months - after a period where he scored about 25 league goals in roughly 50 matches. So let's give him one more season with Ten Hag's attacking football before we decide he is not good enough

Yeah and his reputation wasn’t that of a top player. It’s why Liverpool had a free run at him. What Salah has turned into as a player has been amazing but nobody thought Liverpool were signing a guy who would win the golden boot and lead them to PL title.

Seems to be saying we’re about to sign a CB and a striker - and specifically mentions Nunez.

Ducker said Ten Hag wants two midfielders, a CB and a versatile forward

Hirst said we want a pacy aggressive CB, right back, striker, at least a midfielder and possibly a winger.

My guess is we want all these positions but absolute priorities are a midfielder, CB and striker. The rest will depend on sales.

I m not so sure about this. He was highly rated that's why Spurs and Chelsea were battling for his signature. Though he was kicked out by the guy who didn't want KDB too. In hindsight, we have to thank Jose, otherwise in 2018 Chelsea would have peak Hazard, KDB and Salah.

He has and yet he’s achieved an awful lot more than say Jack Grealish and is 2 years younger. He has talent and character. We’ve all seen it before.

We can’t afford to write off a player who could be top class with so many more holes to fill and having lost Greenwood.

I can’t help but look at Sterling as a comparison. He had a similar career dip around 23-24 just like Rashford has. There was talk of him leaving City. And then he kicked on again under Pep.

He’s definitely in last chance saloon but we could save ourselves a fortune if there is a redemption there.

We could also lose a fortune if we hang on for too long. Right now we'd get a decent transfer fees for him. One more shite season and his stock will plummet.

Its a high risk low reward move keeping Rashford on.
Best case scenario Rashford will be a decent winger. Good enough for a top four finish but he'll need replacing if our ambition is challenging for the league.
Worst case scenario- Has another shite season we have trouble moving him on and we another Lingard on our hands or we sell him cheap losing ££.
From a purely business perspective reckon it makes sense to sell him.

The biggest and only real issue with keeping Rashford is his wages. If he becomes a squad player his wages should be roughly half what they are.

Currently no one will pay that much for him because of his form, his apparent attitude issues and the huge salary he is on.

Make no mistake though, to replace him with someone quality for the first XI will be costly. This is why clubs don't want to let players go on the cheap/free. You have to pay a lot of wages before you get near a large transfer fee.

Ducker is saying United will also look to sign a RB if they can offload AWB. So a CB, two mids, forward and a RB.

Apparently, Bayern Munich are making some more progress on signing Mané.

Source:

  • The 2nd Tweet refers to PSG's interest, too, but after Mbappé's renewal, signing Mané will be difficult for them.
  • Expected price:~€50m
  • Mané's annoyed at his renewal talks with Liverpool stalling because the club prefer to focus on renewing Salah's contract.

MMM Mane Mbappe Messi
Neymar out
