Maguire's aerial stats this season are only marginally better than Varanes so what is your solution? Buying two new CB's?

Maybe not playing a central defender who's poor aerially in the Dutch league alongside him. Right back he'd be fine as would he be holding the midfield, I certainly do not see Timber as a central defender in the EPL unless it's part of a 3.
Oh and by the way Harry is way ahead of Varane in winning aerial duals, maybe you can post where you get that stat from?

According to @TheAthleticUK, Michael Olise is close to agreeing a new deal at Palace which would increase the value of his release clause ‘to a level that would see Palace earn a record fee if his departure is to be sanctioned in the future.

Good for Palace, I suppose.

Are kicker in Germany reporting the below info about Borna Sosa who is a 24 year old LB? If true, then he's a interesting player with good passing abilities and a mean cross.

He's a good left back.

Has a mean left cross, and consistantly pulls them off with high precision.
He was a Dinamo Zagreb u19 player, watched him live a couple of time when he was a kid.

That would mean we need to sell Telles. which is perfectly fine by me.
And Shaw would have a real competition on that left back position.
Borna is much better at crossing, and is higher up the field.

Arsenal showing more proactivity than us in the market already. Why aren't we looking at Tielemans? He'd walk into our midfield.

Are we now at the stage where people are going to start moaning that other clubs (who have not signed any players yet because the transfer window is not actually open for another 3-4 weeks) are making us look silly in the transfer market? (Because their made up transfer stories are better than our made up stories)

I think people need to accept that this summer we are unlikely to attract the very biggest names and also the biggest young talents. We are in need of 5-6 players on a budget where the average price needs to be about 35 million per player. Essentially we are hanging our fortunes on Ten Hag being a top coach and that we can find at least 3-4 players who will make a big difference to our intensity and our technical level. This is going to be all about coaching and smart recruitment, not signing the likes of Haaland or the French midfield lad at Monaco who is wanted by 3-4 clubs in the CL.

All players can be criticized but United's issue has been an epic systems failure.

I have been saying this too. When we lack creativity we buy a creative player we don't imploy a systematic way of creating chances then add players who fit that system.

Harry is at 2.5 and Varane is at 2.2. That it not way ahead. (whoscored)

Hope its true.
Our fullbacks are a bigger problem than our midfield imo.

Am I imagining it, or was this guy heavily linked to Barcelona a few weeks back?

The inactivity of this club is shocking. Do the bastards who run our club will only work on our signings after ETH sits his ass on his Carrington's office?
