  • Werner's contract lasts until 2025, but Chelsea will be fine with letting him go.
  • Price: €40M
  • Werner's agent, Volker Struth, is in talk with several clubs, including Borussia Dortmund.
    • Dortmund not too convinced on Werner; prefer Adeyemi
  • Werner's salary is a major issue
    • Gross salary (before taxes & other deductions): €16M/year
    • 4th best-paid player in Chelsea behind Lukaku, Havertz, and Kanté

40m eur? Id take him

  • The 3 major signings
    • Winger
    • #8 (Central Midfielder)
    • Centre back
  • Nottingham Forest's Brennan Johnson was also scouted.
  • Leicester have been hit particularly hard by COVID, so Leicester must sell before they can buy.
  • Tielemans, Iheanacho, Söyüncü, and Ayoze Perez can possibly be sold.
    • Tielemans is priced at £25M as he's in the last year of his contract.
    • Potential for Tielemans to see off his contract
  • Other players entering their final year:
    • Ayoze Perez
    • Ryan Bertrand
    • Daniel Amartey
    • Hamza Choudhury

  • On the Haaland news:
    • Apparently Haaland's camp wants to include a release clause in his next contract, too
    • Selling Harrison, Ferran Torres, and Angelino has put City in a strong financial position for Haaland.
  • On Andreas Pereira:
    • Reminder: Flamengo agreed a £10M deal with United, and Andreas lowered his wages to join them.
    • However, Flamengo's financial uncertainty means that they might be unable to complete even this deal.
    • Clubs from Spain, the Netherlands, and England are monitoring Andreas's situation.
      • Flamengo are still the furthest ahead.
      • PSV Eindhoven's interested in Andreas.
      • Andreas is also interested in moving to Spain, which is his wife's home country.

Official: Lyon are the first club to take advantage of the transfer window for Russian/Ukraine-based players

Madueke to Leicester would be a great deal for both parties, on paper at least.

Good move that, will keep an eye on how he does. I assume he's putting himself in the shop window.

They've had bad injury luck and desperately need a starting RW and a quality CB. I could see them selling Tielemans but doing better if they address those needs and get better luck on the injury front (especially at fullback) and some breakouts from a few of their young-ish players like Barnes, Daka, Dewsbury-Hall.

What happened with Flamengo financially from the time they agreed the fee with us, and now?

Sound like buyer's remorse to me.

They are really pushing Lewandowski's annual transfer drama this year.

TBF, from the agent perspective, it's best for his client benefit. At his age, the decline can come quickly overnight. You should try to secure a good long contract when the value is still high, and there are high payers.

United also trigger Chong's one-year extension, so now his contract will expire in 2023.

I feel like this is inevitable with Pini Zahavi involved in the discussions. He'll put pressure on Bayern and use other clubs to look for a really good deal.

Is there a club other than Barca that would call at the end of the window and ask: "hey wanna loan us your starting RB... ... with a buy option?"
