Griezmann-Saúl swap operation. There is optimism, true, but it is NOT imminent: patience. Missing things. There is no total agreement between Barça and Atleti on compensation and neither between Saúl and the Catalans. The midfielder's entourage [is] waiting for a Premier offer.

Clash at FC Augsburg!

Kevin Danso would like the club direction [of] RC Lens [and wants to] leave. He has already asked for clearance and no longer wants to train/play for FCA. He was then kicked out of the training camp.

Kevin Danso is a young and fairly promising English defender (now represents Austria). He even had a season-long loan spell at Southampton two seasons ago.

EDIT: 2nd Tweet

RC Lens made an offer in Augsburg for Kevin Danso. The player forces a departure for France and left the camp of his team while waiting to settle his transfer.

Official: Promising 19-year-old American midfielder Tanner Tessmann joins Venezia in Serie A.

@WI_Red Do you know anything about him?

PSG and Galatasaray have reached an agreement for the transfer of Layvin Kurzawa. The amount of the agreement has not filtered through, but the overall situation has not changed much. The left back still has to decide if he wants to join Turkey or not.

If Kurzawa leaves, PSG's only proper left back will be Juan Bernat (more of a Guerreiro-like attacking wing back). Abdou Diallo can also play there and has for Poch last season, whilst Kimpembe is a decent emergency left back option. Still, with Bakker already gone and Kurzawa leaving, PSG will buy a new left back.

Brighton are competing against Roma for Marc Cuccurella's signature. He'd be an incredible signing if this comes to fruition. @The Boy

He would be great competition on the left for March and a great addition, he says he wants to play for a possession side, so we may have more chance than Roma with Jose.
We still need a decent striker though… that’s the one I’m waiting for!

So I have only seen him play a few times for the youth national teams and 1 or 2 MLS games, so my thoughts are very general.

Some fun (for me) Non-Football stuff:
-From Alabama (same as Chris Richards).
-Godfather is Dabo Sweeney (HC of Clemson Univ. American football team. They are top 2 in the country every year)
-he had a full ride scholarship to kick for Clemson FB team, but gave that up to sign with Dallas FC

Football wise he looks good, but nothing really has jumped out at me. He is a big physical guy, so he usually wins most aerial duels in the midfield and can shield the ball really well. Technically he has a nice range of passing, but nothing special that I have seen. If I had to comp him to someone it would be McTominay, but I don't think he is near that level yet. He is still super young, so who knows where he goes with game time.

Sorry, wish I had more.

This looks like yet another cheap summer for Newcastle United, but it does allow us to potentially loan out Tuanzebe to them. I think he'll be fine under Steve Bruce, but he won't necessarily be playing proactive football under him.

There's no need to apologise. Those are some pretty interesting tidbits.

Given what you've said, they might develop him into a mezzala depending on what his dribbling is like. Maybe he can become a goalscoring midfielder like Nocerino?

As far as I remember, he was supposed to join Bayern for a trial last January (with some reports claiming he had joined the winter training camp which apparently wasn't true, there was confusion with another Dallas guest trainees group) and I don't know why it didn't transpire.

Bayern haven't had a smooth ride with signing Justin Che of FC Dallas, either, so something's definitely going wrong there.

Maybe? He scored quite a bit for the Dallas Academy team if I remember correctly, but that has not translated at all to MLS. Not sure if he is playing the same position for Dallas as in the academy though.

Che played for our second team on loan last season though, think we might come back for him.

I heard this too. It almost seemed like there was some sort of Dallas/Bayern pipeline being set up (Richards/Tessmann/Che) but that seems to be crumbling. FCD needs the cash, so I wonder if maybe Bayern was trying to low ball them?

I haven't watched an FC Dallas game in a long time, so do Dallas still play with a goalscoring midfielder? I do remember Jesus Ferreira playing that role a few times a couple of years ago. That might become Tessmann's ideal role if Venezia choose to utilise him as a goalscorer.

Think that would be a pretty decent loan - hopefully it's true. Think he'd get good experience there.

There's some sort of official cooperation in terms of training going on. From what I heard, Dallas wanted him back for the season and after that he might return to München. As for lowballing, no idea how much Dallas expect for such a youngster, but it's definitively possible we have a different valuation.

Kamaldeen Sulemana arrives in Rennes this evening! Medical check-up tomorrow. Rennes overtook Ajax Amsterdam.

This sort of came out of nowhere. Rennes did enter the race a while back, but they weren't ever ahead of Ajax.

Dallas are a mess right now. I have no idea what they are doing. They have an amazing (in my view) forward prospect, Ricardo Pepi so they have reverted to a more traditional attack. Ferreira slots in behind him in an AM role. We can move this discussion to the Golden Generation thread if you want to chat US youth prospects, it's my favorite topic :wenger: .

This would make sense. As stated above, at least on the pitch, FCD are a mess.

Agreement almost contractually reached between Manchester United and Raphaël Varane. Discussions are advanced between the 2 parties. After securing Sancho, Man United want Varane. Discussions are open between Manchester and Real Madrid but no offer yet.

Big news

EDIT: English Tweet

The fee can rise up to 20 million Pounds.

honestly this is good business. Some Chelsea fans have an emotional attachment to Marc, but from what I seen of him he was not going to become a starter for Chelsea so why give him a career in the loan army. Get a good fee and let him go prove himself as a starter for someone else.

We should be looking to do the same kind of thing, especially if the money is actually going to go back into the team and give us a bigger budget to work with.
