Who do we get to replace Pogba though? Do we have a chance at Locatelli?

Probably not, but it's got to be worth a go. Juve are trying to put together some kind of multi-year loan with hardly any money upfront - we can surely blow that out of the water.

Do we not already have Donny to replace Pogba? I mean he barely played last season so he's certainly a top candidate to take most of Pogba's minutes along with some youth prospects maybe?

Playing a £89m CM as left forward because he cannot be trusted as CM is rather damning, don't you think?
Yes it’s rather damning of our recruitment in the DM position.

He’s not Kante, never has been, never will be. He needs and has always needed to be partnered with a top DM.

This being news to some at this stage is embarrassing.

Ah, so he DOES need a spesific team built around him? Glad we could agree on this:D

First of many young, talented players to come in this summer I’m sure, very pleased for £8m.

There's nothing new in this, but Spurs' hard stance is why City aren't so keen on signing Kane this summer.

From here:

That's pretty obvious given that Spinazzola is out for a long while.

Official: Sandro Tonali signs for Milan from Brescia, signing a 5-year contract.

I've seen Tonali sign for so many teams in FIFA Career Mode, I forgot he was still under contract at Brescia

@do.ob If this is coming from Max Bielefeld, this is more often than not good info.

The deal between FC Augsburg and the Belgian first division club KAA Gent is to be announced on Thursday. According to Sky information, Dorsch is already in Fuggerstadt in the morning for the medical check.

€12.5 million spread over a 100 years no doubt. He looked every inch a world class DLC prospect at Brescia. To be fair if he makes the step up at Milan he’ll still be attainable and he didn’t look anything special against us if I remember correctly.

You mean Matic and Schneiderlin? The problem at United is not recruiting in the DM position. For example United did not get Idrissa Gueye for £8m when Villa were relegated. We also let Herrera go for nothing, and we try to convert players into CDMs rather than buy them.

Yes the same way a CB needs players around him to defend effectively. That's just general, bog standard, squad building. Watch PSG put a decent DM with him, just like France, just like Juve. Just us that thinks can do everything on his own and ignore his weaknesses ;)

Its Arsenal and it looks like they are getting a free run at him

I had not seen much of him at all before this tournament, but he seems very highyl rated so surprising if they do.

I think the piece is telling mentioning that Italian clubs cant afford him possibly....when he is £40m odd, not a huge huge signing. I think like the big Spanish clubs struggling, now is a good time to be targeting Serie A. I know the league is still pretty poor in comparison to glory days, but there are a lot of very good players there. The vast majority of this Italian squad are still in Serie A though ageing, we have also seen several Atalanta players excelling in the tournament. I dont follow Serie A strongly enough now to know the players well, only really watch European games and the odd games of the top sides, but sure there are some very good talents outside of the Milans and Juve worth looking at and U21 Italians for a lot of premiership clubs? i hav eenjoyed Atalanta especially this season, think all the defenders look good, especialy ROmero and they are clever up front as well too but are all older players.

Yeah we've been awful at securing a top DM. It's the one reason I'm not happy about Pogba leaving because you know he's going to be partnered with a decent DM elsewhere and they will get the best of him.

McFred are not the answer. It needs addressing, should be one of our absolute priorities.
