I'm pretty sure the club won't sell for less than 60m, probably a bit more.

People here underrate Pogba's value, so they throw around some laughable numbers.

The problem we have is that he has less than a year left on his deal and, PSG aside, there doesn't seem to be much interest, making a bidding war unlikely. In those circumstances, £50m+ seems like a good deal for us.

He’s got a year left on his contract, very few clubs could afford his wages especially post pandemic and we’re shit at selling players. I’d be over the moon with 60m tbh.

If Pogba isn’t going to re-sign then getting £60m+ for him would be the best we could hope for. We’ll have lost money, but he has the power over the club with just a year left on his contract. Ideally wed be able to re-sign him, but if he leaves again I won’t shed any tears.

Anywhere near 80m would be a great deal for us if the money is to be reinvested
If we got near 80m that would be huge. Buy Varane ,Camavinga and Rice and Our team would be transformed ( I know thats very unlikely) Really wished it worked out for Pogba here but it looks once again he wants to go.

Basically a one for one swap of Pogba for Sancho. I don’t want Pogba to go but we simply can't let him go on a free next year for the second time

Pogba purely as a footballer for US the last five years with a year left on his contract, anything north of £50m is a fantastic deal for us in my opinion. If we are also able to sell Lingard for £20-25m and sign Camavinga possibly under £30m and Varane under £50m, that would be a net spend on Sancho, Varane and Camavinga of £80m or less.

Add in a couple of sales from the likes of Matic, James, Jones, Pereira, Chong and then the BIG thing for me, IF we are able to invest this is one more big signing in midfield and we genuinely have a side on paper at least that can compete for major trophies this season.

just as an example:

In: Varane, Rice, Camavinga, Sancho £230m
Out: Pogba, Lingard, Matic, James, JOnes, Pereira, Chong £110m

£120m net spend

Pogba is pretty much the only starting eleven player of those outs, most of them gave barely played for us bar James. I know which I would prefer to have comparing the ins and outs. WOul be a fantastic window and Pogba is the one player out we can probably shift (unlike DeGea for example) that holds value. He is the difference between us signing a big 4th signing or not to me, 100% out I hope

Can't wait until he finally leaves and takes the fecking drama/circus with him. Hopefully it's this summer so we get a transfer fee, sign another midfielder and finally move on.
Perfectly summed up.
If he doesn't move on this summer, we'll have a whole season of drama about his contract and when he finally leaves on a free, there'll be even more of it about how it has happened again!

Maybe he's a good player but I just can't stand the drama.

This may come as a shock - the 2 stars mentioned in the headline are Varane and Camavinga

:boring:

I’m more excited about who our Amad / Pellistri type signings are going to be at this stage or was that one last big stab at that market before Brexit or what?

I obviously hope we get Camavinga but I think for 50 million and those wages in this climate we could get a really top young player instead of Varane and slowly blood him in around maguire and lindelof. it might have some short term pain but it could set us up nicely for the years to come. Romero and Tapsoba look good to me but we probably should have just went for Upamecano.

This would be great news (at the fee quoted). Let's take it and run to find a suitable replacement!
I would be absolutely fine with selling Pogba if it meant still signing a CB, but also signing a CM to replace Pogba too.

Maybe i'm overly negative, but I feel like we'd sell Pogba and just use the majority of the fee on a CB rather than signing a CB anyway and using the Pogba money to get Rice (for example)
