I highly, highly doubt Arsenal will spend anything close to 200M this summer, not unless it is offset by some serious sales. I would bet their net spend will be under 100M. Which means doing some quality scouting with so many positions to be filled. Expecting Kroenke to kick in funds is about as forlorn as thinking the Glazers will ever go into their own pocket.

The difference is, that the club will lose value with every poor season and places like 8th - don't think United ever has dropped so far behind. He has to protect his value and back the transfer strategy, otherwise the gap will be bigger and bigger with every season.

I'm normally very pessimistic about our spending (and the backing from Kroenke) too, but i'm pretty sure we will invest a lot this summer. Lokonga and White is already 70m pounds, while it's just a small part of the business this summer. Of course we will get some money due to sellings, but realistically it will be minimum 150m net spend.

Florentino Pérez [speaks]:

"I have adoration for Sergio Ramos, he is a Real Madrid legend and I am not going to talk about it."
"When we offered him the renewal we told him there was a deadline."
"Madrid is the home of Sergio Ramos and of course he will be able to return."

Florentino Pérez:

"Madrid always works to bring in the best, but we have a very good team, with many young people who must be valued."

From the same El Transistor program:

"Of those transferred...all the cases are being studied because they cannot all stay; we want all of them to continue progressing."

The glazers have spend more the summers that Utd failed to qualify for CL than the summers that they have secured CL qualification. It makes sense for the owners. You can't get cut adrift so far from CL spots that its impossible to claw yourself back into contention.

Juventus want 40 million Euros for Demiral. They want cash only (no players).

 Juve are so slimey, they want Locatelli on a two year loan for €40m paid over god knows how long with god knows how many players thrown in, yet they want €40m straight up for one of their players who isn't attracting as much interest as Locatelli.

Chancers.

My exact thoughts.

Someone asked before, but I’m going to ask again - why is Juve having a free run at Locatelli? Especially since he’s had a more than decent Euro so far. Was it him or his agent who came out to say that he would consider a move abroad to a foreign team?

Admittedly I haven’t watched him at all. Is he anything like Carrick? Deep-lying midfielder who can dictate tempo and has a good passing range and reads the game well?

Can we also do a loan with obligation to buy? Maybe send Tuanzebe the other way on loan for a season? Or Mengi?

Probably an agent trying to get more money for his client from Juve - wouldn't surprise me if Juve were trying to lowball the player too.

Won’t speak about other players, proceeds to bring up Haaland’s name.

Can’t stand the weasel.
I would love someone like him at United. His ruthlessness for both players and managers was a very important part of their success.

Have you not seen his ignorance during the ESL saga?

Season already over if City got both Kane and Grealish.

Is there any point watching the league next season If this happens? I know SkySports will try and put a positive spin on it but having one team with unlimited amount of money is tearing the league apart and taking out the competitiveness of the league?

Maybe the SuperLeague wasn't such a bad idea after all.....

You believe Ole will drop his love affair of 'McFred' if we sign a top class CB?

I hope that is the case, still think we'd need a better defensive midfielder to partner Pogba though. I have no faith whatsoever in either Fred or Scott being more than just bench players.

Keeping Pogba and signing those two would be lovely mind.

There'll certainly be a hell of a lot of Grealish/Sancho comparisons next season if both go for 80-100m. I'm confident we're getting the better deal though with everything taken into account.

I love Grealish as a player. I think he's amazing and will thrive at City, but if there is one position we don't need, especially with Sancho coming in, it's a left sided forward
