This is why it seems like an act with you.Lingard will play there and fit pretty will in Ole's system. He's not really the best player in the world but he's good at running/pressing.

Usually signing lots of players doesn't work very well because they don't know each other and or how to play together. It's better to get 3-4 each year and integrate them properly IMO.Are there some sort of guidelines for rebuilding? Wouldn't it be more efficient to shorten the time for this rebuild? It'd be more beneficial to everyone involved if we got back to our old ways as quick as possible. Sadly, I don't think the owners really care.
Why wouldn't we have signed a player if they would have made us better for a reasonable fee? We've done it twice this window already.
What are you even going on about? This is why it seems like an act with you.
Like you I have no idea who the actual targets we're so how can't I go into specifics. We just have to deduce from the evidence, that we signed nobody, we didn't find the right player to come in.So in your book no appropriate targets were available that we could have got? You can't think of one missed target this summer?
It couldn't be possible that the club failed to identify targets or failed in negotiations and that's before we even go into possible constraints such as budget or Woody overriding the manager etc.
It feels like supporting the club is defending the club to some of you.
Coming with the “Lingard will do a job on the RW” bull just looks like a wind up. Showed your hand there because you can’t honestly believe it. Or you’re the last one who does. What are you even going on about?
I'm actually getting a little worried about him. Are we sure he is okay?Fridge is down.
All the sensible clubs have already done their business
You don't think he has the attributes to be an effective player for us when his job will be to mainly press and cover ground?Coming with the “Lingard will do a job on the RW” bull just looks like a wind up. So we've basically just improved the positions we should have done last summer, but now we're minus Lukaku and Herrera.
Pretty muchSo we've basically just improved the positions we should have done last summer, but now we're minus Lukaku and Herrera.
Have you read some of the comments about James?
Most people are happy with Maguire (apart from the fee) and Bissaka because they improve on what we have.
If you want to improve on Matic, Fred and Mctominay, without getting a "world class" player in, you'll be looking at spending 50-80 million (bearing in mind Fred cost 50) and you aren't even guaranteed an improvement.
Who would you sign then?We don't need to buy world class players to be better than those three, that's how bad our midfield currently is.

Someone check Rochdale’s twitter. If they announce anyone, and we don’t see the fecking tweet in here, we’ll have to send a search partyI'm actually getting a little worried about him. Are we sure he is okay?
No and I think you’re having a laugh now.You don't think he has the attributes to be an effective player for us when his job will be to mainly press and cover ground?
You're twisting my words. How is it the clubs fault if there is a lack of available players to come in and IMPROVE us? Not just to come in and be a body for £30-40 Million?

I get that it's cool to hate Lingard but you don't know football then do you.No and I think you’re having a laugh now.
Yes whilst continuing to ignore RW
The rumour is that they want Sancho but he wouldn't be available till at least next year isn't it?Your seriously telling me with with Ole being given the permanent role as manager before the end of the season so that they could get a head start on planning for the next season, they couldn't find 2 players that would be n improvement over lingard/mata or a declining matic and supposedly bang average Herrera which was the narrative from many fans to protect Woodward for being a dummy in not trying renew his contract a lot sooner.
Other clubs have gone about making 4 or 5 signings to improve their teams and with a higher level of quality to replace as well.
You and I think alike my friend, I've been thinking the same as you for a while. Too much immature comments and insults from some not very knowledgeable nor calm individuals on here and it seems to be getting worse... Very gullible tweet Muppets and the just down right miserable among our so called fanbase who seemingly feel content to use the welfare of the club and where we'd stand in their eyes and the eyes of our opponents and biased media alike, than use their brain cells along with calm minds to see what's going on pragmatically.... I applaud your comments mate... Keep it up...Do people genuinely think that rebuilding a whole team can be done in one transfer window? Maybe I give this place too much credit for being sane and rational
Technically he didn't did he. Said any players going would be 'replaced' I guess that includes promoting youth. So ole lied to us
Dont hold your breath. They've owned the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for over 20 years and they havent won anything in years.A complete shambles of a window just like last summer. The sooner Woodward and the glazers are gone the better. Ole has been set up to fail
Some good points here and a refreshing take on the situation over the usual 'feck Ed, he's useless' rhetoric.
Really well put mate
Or Woodward has failed at getting him a replacement. So ole lied to us
Tielemans, Partey, BrunoWho would you sign then?
Or Ole was lied to.So ole lied to us

Good window? What's so good about Glazers filling their pockets with money?Even if United don't get anyone in anymore, the fact that Ed managed to get respectable amount for the likes of Lukaku and Rojo (potentially) is very good, and make this window a good one. Not excellent as in upgrading the whole first 11 but getting there. Defence is sorted, just need to sort out the midfield and RW next.
