You want a right winger solely to press, are you Jose Mourinho? I want my wingers to contribute toward goals and assists, pressing should be secondary.
I do when we're playing a high press yes. Have you even seen how we're going to set up this season?

Who would you sign then?

It's not a case of who we could sign right now it should have been done months ago. Ndombele was the obvious choice, Neves from Wolves, Van De Beek. Two of them were easily possible, not sure about Neves but a decent offer could have landed him.

Tbf, in 17/18 he scored 13 goals in all competitions, while also scoring 4 for England. Last season shouldn't be taken into account regarding statistics, we were that bad as a team.

Greenwood and James are massive talents. They need game time to develop. If either becomes a superstar then not spending cash will look like a masterstroke. Same with Fred.

James a massive talent? Chong looks alot better than he did in preseason

No worries. We will sign Sancho next year when we failed to qualify for any European competition this season... That's surely going to happen and if not it's only because we reject him.

The rumour is that they want Sancho but he wouldn't be available till at least next year isn't it?

As for Mata, if we actually play him as a 10 then I don't think he will be an issue. Having pace around him will suit him a lot.

That's a ridiculous gamble to take with the state of our squad to think we will maybe get him next summer if we get top 4, what happens if we dont get top 4 or if he has another good season and real big club with more ambition come in for him because we will be pushed right to back of the line, we could potentially screw up our chances of a top 4 finish and lose even more big names next summer all because Ole and Woodward were living in a dream world thinking signing sancho next summer is a sure bet.

So the club can do no wrong or make no mistakes in your book? You're delusional
I don't think that's what he's implying I'm sure you know this, but the overreaction of those who seemingly only see negativity in almost literally Every angle of what we do and don't do on the pitch or off it is embarrassing as a supporter of this great club. We've surpassed Rawk as complete Muppets based on the rhetoric being shat out by some on this once respectable forum... Now seems it's full of some very negative and naive juveniles... Not all obviously but far too many ... IMHO of course..

If Lukaku going and Rojo going isnt a good thing then im baffled.

Darmian, Mata and Matic are the other deadwood we need to move.

Its obvious we need midfielders to play with Pogba, its blindly obvious having watched the last 2 pre season games.

We'll see won't we.

Why is it? It's not something that we need to be told by anyone as it's fairly logical that is what is going on. Look at our business, they retained DDG and signed Maguire and AWB. It's fairly obvious to anyone they they're building the team from the back first.

It's not really. All it shows is that we have bought 2 defenders this summer. But if things go badly for Ole then come next summer or jan a new manager comes in if he doesn't fancy AWB or Maguire or Shaw or Linderlof we are completely back to square one having to buy defenders again.

If we're struggling, just get someone signed in Jan

I knew Woody would brief the press that his failures in the window is just giving chances to young players, it's so transparent. fecking grub.

People will lap it up though like with Varane last summer. We ended signing Maguire anyway.

Then that's the fault of the club/board then isn't it for not following through with their plans.

United usually inform the media there will be no business when nothing is happening on deadline day.

I suspect they are trying to get something over the line.

Why

Thats exactly what he said and others on here said exactly what I just did. It's nothing new
When he was asked that question I think it was fairly obvious the interviewer meant a replacement with new signings and I think Ole answered it in the belief that it would happen as well. It hasn't.

Well, let's go beat Chelsea. Hope for a top 4 fight and youngins developing. Low stress season for me at least. Low expectations do that. Hopefully Ole can shock the world.

That may very well have been the case. It isn't now like you say. I don't really know what you wan't me to say

I don't want you to say anything, I just got the impression that you think Ole meant, at that exact time, Lukaku would be replaced with a youth player. I mean he is being replaced with a youth player because we have no other option to. I may have misunderstood you.

Exactly which is something they have shown many times in the past already. Lies upon lies. So you can probably understand why United fans are scared.

If Ole doesn't perform, he will get fired and the board will bring in someone new that is something we know as a fact.

No that's not what I meant when I said that technically he wasn't incorrect. Was more sarcastic.

Of course, I'm afraid of that too. I just think all this negativity is useless and just breeds more negativity. I'm excited for the new season to start because I think we'll do well.

People may laugh at me but I genuinely don't think things are as bad as they are being made out to be.

Have you read some of the comments about James?

Most people are happy with Maguire (apart from the fee) and Bissaka because they improve on what we have.

If you want to improve on Matic, Fred and Mctominay, without getting a "world class" player in, you'll be looking at spending 50-80 million (bearing in mind Fred cost 50) and you aren't even guaranteed an improvement.

No, but and I do not intend to because they are fans who think success is instant and I just cannot be bothered reading about it. IMO he is a decent signing for £15m who will add speed and tenacity.

I agree it would take 50-80 but we have that to spend, Tielemans had a £40m buyout clause. Rodri had £60m buy out clause. But going into a season with Matic, Fred, McT and Pogba? really?
