But the main reason is that any young British player who's any good is already going to be at a club like Newcastle, who can all now afford to hold the big clubs to ransom like never before. The best domestic players you can get on "the cheap" now are the likes of James or Tierney who havent played any Prem football.

Exactly. Rashford had multiple opportunities to claim the number 9 spot as his but didn't take it. Can't rely on him to score goals when a Lukaku in terrible form for 80% of the season still manages to outscore him.

You ignored half of my previous post mate, who is this mysterious striker of yours then? Are you keeping up to date with our current transfer movements or lack of should I say. We're not exactly the greatest attraction in football in case you haven't noticed. Also bearing in mind, it's a seller's market with very little quality strikers available. But yes, let us sell Lukaku for the laugh and start Greenwood up front for the whole season. Solid plan.

We're currently struggling to sign players from Newcastle & Leicester... It sort of sums up our bargaining power in this market. I just don't trust our strategy at the moment, I can't see us bringing in a quality striker this summer. If we sell him however, I pray to God, the board & Woodward prove me wrong.

Games played, goals scored, whatever, none of that is relevant. They own the player and don't want to sell, so they value him higher than they believe the interested club would pay and if they lose the player they're laughing all the way to the bank. Same as us and Pogba.
