It is subjective, but I would class the likes of Leeds, Newcastle, Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday, Aston Villa, Everton and Blackburn as clubs with the history to be classed as a 'big' club (outside of the obvious candidates).

Most of the summer, but doesn't get the headlines. He's got a few offers from France and wants to leave for free, but Arsenal won't terminate his contract as they need the money.
