If they’re gonna piss about with a loan deal they should be paying 30 million more than what they are offering.

So basically Inter are offering €70m to be paid in three instalments?

Don’t see the problem with that. We can probably bump them up another €10m, preferably on the down payment, and we’ve pretty much made our money back.

I'm pretty sure Ed would have those Perisic negotiations in mind. Go Ed don't bend over!

I've seen Inter linked/signing a few players recently, not sure if they are official though ie Barella €40m etc? Basically they're saying the can pay decent sums for others but can only manage a measly €10m for Lukaku this summer.

I don't think €70m is a bad offer at all and I'd settle for something around that rather than keep him, but the structure of the payments is laughable. I think if their first installment at least covered the cost of our replacement (eg Ben Yedder €30m) then it'd be of use to us.

West Ham and scatter gun approach. A match made in heaven. Woody would slot right in there

70m euros is 20 less than what we paid and considering the wages we paid over the two years, we would lose out a lot of money we invested in Romelu

I don't think we'll ever get back what we paid and i also feel like his value will decrease and there will be less interest the longer he stays here. If Inter were loaded and splashing the cash then I'd say hold out, but i don't see us getting this opportunity to talk to a club willing to pay €70m + for him again. Same applies to Juve, if their interest is real.

Why don't they just bid 70 mil and pay it in 2 installments of 35, much more likely to accept. Including a loan and stretching it across 3 years is bullshit.

Does it matter that much to us?

I am pretty sure we don't have any cashflow problems

I genuinely don’t think the structure of the payments is an issue at all. Most of, if not all, big transfers are paid in instalments and it’s not like we actually need the cash up front to do any business.

If you look at his appearance record, he has still put in a pretty substantial amount of games each year, 42 and 39 appearances in last 2 years with 14 and 21 goals respectively and 6 assists and 7 assists respectively, working backwards in seasons. Not too shabby, albeit would expect a lot more for £600k! But rebasing his level he is still a top player.

True. Pretty good numbers, to be fair to him.

Yeah, 90m for Morata was hilarious too.

I'd just be tough with them. 90m plus Isco, plus Bale on a 2-year loan but they pay half his wage. Anything else then have a look around for a different midfielder.

Too soft! Go with their €80m offer plus Isco plus Cebellos plus Bale on loan for 2 years for 1/4 wages

The club gets smashed to pieces if they buy near 30 year olds. Then the moaning starts again when they seem to be going after young lads. I get confused what people want these days. I must be getting old I dont get the hysteria.

We seem to be haggling to save a couple million here and there. We needed approx. 5 signings to come in this summer and we've spent so much time going back and forth that we'll barely get our players ready to face Chelsea. We haggled so much with AWB when in actuality, Crystal Palace didn't blink and we ended up paying what they demanded. Bruno is worth 55m.... If money is so much a problem, instead of haggling for Maguire, get Alderweireld for 25m and conclude the deal and move onto other deals... It seems like our negotiators are inept when it comes to multitasking and securing multiple deals at once. Time is something we are running out of... and before you know it, we'll be preparing for the game against Chelsea and haven't strengthened enough to even grab top 4.

‘Manchester United want Milenkovic. They put €40m on the table but Fiorentina would want €50m.’ via @DiMarzio

€50m is £45m. We could get Milenkovic and Alderweireld (£25m) for the same as our rejected Maguire bid.

Alderweireld would add much needed experience in the short term and Milenkovic is one for the future at 21 years old.

Is he any good?

That's a good price, I'd take that.

A United tweet that's not about preparing a bid for Longstaff? Nice.

I see on whoscored he played a lot of RB last season. Is he decent on the ball then?

I'm not too sure about this, Nikola Milenlovic doesn't seem to be that great at bringing the ball out from the Defence which I assume is what the club are looking for in a player considering our other Transfer Targets were apparently Mathias de Ligt and Harry Maguire. If we are targeting other players specifically in the European leagues, I would be looking at making a move for Ibrahima Konaté who already has that attribute.

Just checked Di Marzio's and Fabrizio Romano's twitter feeds, couldn't find any mention of Milenkovic there.

Edit: Nvm, it's on his website.

Exactly as predicted. Gotta read through the lines after Bartomeu's interview. Same thing with Real.
I missed that piece... what do you read through the lines? That Barcelona will not go full force for Griezmann?

These Inter fecks are really trying to make us look like clowns, aren't they?

It should be £75 million in a straight transfer or £95 million over 3 years. We should not be doing them any favours, at all. As I said previously, Skriniar or Brozovic plus cash would also be acceptable, I'd definitely take Brozovic in our current predicament.

Real Madrid can seriously feck off. I wouldn't sell them a pack of crisps with the way they have been treating us in the last 10 years. Same goes for Barcelona. We should stand our fecking ground and I'm proud of Ole for saying that Manchester United don't have to sell any player if we don't want to!
I think the €200m price has made Pogba realize that it’s not going to be super easy. Real needs to sel apparently, and Barcelona needs to find loans with banks... hopefully the crisis shows to the world what kind of clubs these 2 are. When money dries up, players will think twice before joining them.

I would take Isco at £65 million, all BS of course but seems like a reasonable deal or Isco + 80 for POgba (no way Pogba worth £150mil)
Pogba worth £300m in this market with his market value. Yep.

Pogba worth £300m in this market with his market value. Yep.
Considering the likes of Zaha are valued around £90-£100 million, it can seriously be argued that Pogba is easily worth Neymar type of money, north of £200 million.

I also totally agree with your other comment before this one. Can't stand the big Spanish 2, and hope they crash and burn with their dodgy style of doing business. Bunch of slimy pricks the lot of them, always trying to pressure us and take advantage of our situation, but in the sneakiest way possible, whilst using the media propaganda machine in their favour.
