Pogba worth £300m in this market with his market value. Yep.

I'm not a pogba fan, but in a world where minge goes for 20, maguire for 70 plus, hazard with one year left for 130,then arguably the most marketable footballer in the world, about to enter his prime, shouldbt be sold for less than 160m

I'd like some minge for £20...

I'm not too sure about this, Nikola Milenlovic doesn't seem to be that great at bringing the ball out from the Defence which I assume is what the club are looking for in a player considering our other Transfer Targets were apparently Mathias de Ligt and Harry Maguire. If we are targeting other players specifically in the European leagues, I would be looking at making a move for Ibrahima Konaté who already has that attribute.

I love Upamecano personally, but both are good. Only times I haveseen Milenlovic is at right back and not impressed much at all....but he is out of position anyway. I rated Mensah as a centre back and he is truly awful as a full back, could say the same for Rojo, not that he is a great centre back either

If Inter Milan (Who look a long way from challenging the likes of Juventus if they are struggling to afford even Lukaku, then again when clubs like Arsenal make as much in revenue as both Milan clubs combined then what do you expect?) want to pay only 70 million euros for Lukaku, then quite frankly United should start demanding Icardi in exchange...

Now that sounds like a proper West Ham signing

Surely if that club has any sense, they would be seeking out Rashford on loan instead (or someone like Greenwood). Because in all seriousness (and yes I know OGS wants to make him his starting striker), Rashford in my eyes needs to prove himself more to justify sticking by him as our starting stirker over someone like Icardi or Kane. Going to West Ham (and hopefully doing well) would be a good way of doing it.

So basically Inter are offering €70m to be paid in three instalments?

Don’t see the problem with that. We can probably bump them up another €10m, preferably on the down payment, and we’ve pretty much made our money back.

It's too fecking low. If Morata fetches 65mm EUR, Lukaku should fetch 90-100 mill.

And Inter are desperate for a striker with Icardi burning his bridges there. We should hold them to ransom. Their other option is a washed up Dzeko or a loan deal for Higuain.

Pay 90 million and they've got him. After all their Chinese owners are rich.

I missed that piece... what do you read through the lines? That Barcelona will not go full force for Griezmann?

He had an interview last week as Athletico were announcing that they weren't happy about the whole thing. He said specifically PSG didn't want to sell Neymar. They do. They just can't afford him. They already committed to Griezmann.

We overpaid for Lukaku. He and Morata are shit. Sometimes you just need to cut your losses and move on. I think a deal for £70m is fair considering the wages we’d be relieved off.

Considering the likes of Zaha are valued around £90-£100 million, it can seriously be argued that Pogba is easily worth Neymar type of money, north of £200 million.

I also totally agree with your other comment before this one. Can't stand the big Spanish 2, and hope they crash and burn with their dodgy style of doing business. Bunch of slimy pricks the lot of them, always trying to pressure us and take advantage of our situation, but in the sneakiest way possible, whilst using the media propaganda machine in their favour.
But if that's the case aren't we to blame for succumbing to their sneakiness?

But if that's the case aren't we to blame for succumbing to their sneakiness?
I get your point and we sort of are, but they are still massive pricks. Both clubs act all high and mighty, give out this vibe of footballing royalty but in reality they are seriously corrupt in my eyes.

Pogba worth £300m in this market with his market value. Yep.

Pogba is worth £120 mil on a marketing basis and potential basis on a pure footballing performance basis we would be lucky to recoup what we paid out

So, Madrid want 80m for Bale, 65m for Isco, both of which they want rid of and are bench fodder but value Pogba at 80m?

Pricks.
Cheeky feckers. They can feck right off. No way Bale worth £80m. Only way I would take Bale is on loan and a pay as you you play deal on a vastly reduced contract. Obviously none off this is going to happen like this. So no thanks, they can keep him.

Serious question - How do transfers work. By going by the media it goes like:
Say you want a defender - Maguire
1) Send out reports to media that your interested
2) Wait a bit see what happens. Maybe other clubs will come in
3) Talk to players agent. See if he is interested
4) Talk to club - Yo. We want Maguire. Are you selling? No
5) Wait for a bit
6) Oh sht the Sun is reporting Man City is interested.
7) Ring club again - Would you sell for 50? No?
8) Wait for a bit
9) Talk to agent again - Player on holiday. Cant go further
10) Two weeks later player back from holiday. Had a few drinks and now might think about moving but not sure. He likes the shops where he is at
11) Ring club - How about 60 mill. What! you want 100! Muther beep beep beep
12) Ring agent - Tell player to start making it known he wants to leave
13) Wait a bit
14) Ring club - Oh now you want 80. ah we are getting to them.
15) Tell papers that we want another player.
16) Get some of our players to ring wanted player and talk all sexy to him
17) Wait a bit
18) Tell papers that we are preparing a bid.
19) Wait a bit
20) Talk to player - offer terms - unofficially. Player likes cash but is undecided. Uncle Sams birthday coming up. Will decide after
22) Get lawyers to write a fancy bid on fancy paper and send to the club.
23) Wait a bit
24) Get a phone call - bid rejected. Will take Martial + 50 Mill
25) Wait a bit
26) Uncle Sams Birthday has finished. Player wants to leave. Not sure which club he will choose
27) Deadline day -Bid 85. Fly player in last minute. 11.55 send final docs to FIFA by fax.

Is this really how it works? Or does it work normally
1) Speak to club and over the same conversation - 50 no. Ok what you want. 100. Man you trippin. 55. 1 hour later - ok Agreed 80
2) Ring Player and Agent - We want you. - Over the the same conversation - 80 a week - no 200. Ok agreed at 180
3) Ok I know its a big decision but we have to know by X. Cool ok
4) Player rings - City interested but I still want to come - Will you increase to 200. OK
5) Agreed by all parties. Signed.

Was it worth typing all that out?

It'll be somewhere in between really, the buying club will likely feel out various players for the same position, this strengthens negotiations, and let's them see what is viable.

The selling club won't necessarily have a fixed fee in mind, it will depend on who they can get in to replace the want away player.

It's kind of like buying a house, you look at several before making an offer, if multiple buyers are interested negotiations can be protracted, if the buyers are in a chain then the whole thing can collapse if one sale falls through.

With the players, the contracts are very complex, basic fees and wages will be decided roughly very quickly, but exact details will take some time.

We need a centre back, he’s very good, he’s cheap. Someone please tell me why we aren’t in for him?

I guess we dont want to buy old players on high wages after having some bad experiences in the past. He brings experience though, something we lack at CB.

‘Manchester United want Milenkovic. They put €40m on the table but Fiorentina would want €50m.’ via @DiMarzio

€50m is £45m. We could get Milenkovic and Alderweireld (£25m) for the same as our rejected Maguire bid.

Alderweireld would add much needed experience in the short term and Milenkovic is one for the future at 21 years old.

How reliable is this guy?

No we shouldn’t because they might actually agree to that as they want shot of him.

There is absolutely no chance of his wife/agent wanting to leave Italy
