Good player. Made the switch to offensive midfielder this season and excelled. Good between the lines, which is the type of player that we need. Can dribble too and has some skill.

I still think he won't want to leave though. Totti had quite an impact on a lot of the Roman's.
The report is about a release clause, not them letting him go.

Pellegrini is one of a handful of Italian midfielders I would be very happy for us to sign. It’s very hard to prise Italians from Roma, but he’s a Sassuolo boy and didn’t grow up there so perhaps. He’s excellent value though, and could easily be a City midfielder. He has great technical ability.
It's not in Roma hands though . If he is interested, he will join us. Then again, its Ed we are talking about. Would have just made the bid without checking with the player .
A very Good player . Him and Doucoure would be my replacements for Herrera.
Agree completely. I think Roma will just offer him a bumper contract and he'll stay there. He won't want to leave unless they're looking to sell him, they rate him too highly to lose him.

Well he can turn down a contract offer if he really doesn't want to leave. Triggering a clause just gives the bidding club the option to approach him and his agent with an offer, they can reject.

You underestimate the influence that man had on a number of Roman school children growing up as Roma fans. It's like Scholes leaving us for Madrid because they offered him a contract.

Not underestimating Totti's impact at all maybe he'll end up staying there for years to come. However I still believe if Liverpool, United, Bayern or any other big club wants him he'll go.

I would expect the 4 chosen youngsters to feature in Europa League and the two domestic Cup competitions, for development purposes. If any of them perform at a reasonable level, they would then get opportunities in the PL.
Had we been in the CL then perhaps some of them would have been loaned out.

It's been repeatedly briefed that we're not really interested in Bale this season. I'm not sure why people still think we're going to get him.
Woodward is probably wetting himself at the news about Bale and Coutinho. Should stay way clear of both of them.
Pogba rumor. Madrid can pretty much use Bale as part of the deal. Woodward is impulsive. Giving Mourinho new contract to come out not backing him in a span of few months. Or DOF appointment and a careful progress to pick the next managers. Few months in OLe to be made permanent. Anything can happen with Woodward and he is the ultimate decision maker at the club.
I don't want him anywhere near here unless it's bargain bottom, near-zero-risk price. Which considering they paid £150m for him, there's 0 chance of happening.
Not if we're not interested they can't. I get your point about Woody but I really think the Sanchez fiasco must have taught him a lesson in this regard.
