My guess is that we are going to have another situation like last summer where the manager and Woodward will have very different views on what players we should get. Solskjaer has said he wants 'pace and power' and us to be the hardest working team in the league, well Dyabala is absolute class but he doesn't fit with that kind of approach at all. He's a big name, superstar signing that Woodward will want because it will make sponsors happy and get social media buzzing. There have also been reports that Solskjaer wants Wan-Bissaka while Woodward wants Trippier and I'm 100% convinced that Woodward would love us to sign Bale while Solskjaer did not seem keen at all when the idea was raised in a press conference.
I know some people on this forum don't like Pilib De Brun but he was talking about the Mourinho/Woodward rift for a long time before it was accepted and last summer he predicted that their lack of agreement about the direction of the team would see Mourinho gone by Christmas.
