Boyhood Manchester United fan and quality Sign him up if de Gea wants to leave. No brainer.
It's 120 mill Euros or 107 million pounds.
We are not getting 60 million for DDG, 30-40 mill at most, so yeah a net of 65 - 70 mill, which isn't bad. And we will have to pay the clause, Atletico doesn't mess around when it comes to release clauses
He isn't better than Smalling. Jones? Yes. Him and Smalling are a similar level. They have similar attributes differing only in their pace and touch.I'm not a huge fan of Maguire, but he's significantly better than either Jones or Smalling. So in that basis sign him up.
What?What?
Oblak isn't that good with his feet. He's great at everything else though and has great command of his area. How is he with his feet compared to an Ederson.
It just means we're weighing up the alternatives and liaising with agents through non-formal channels.
No-one prepares bids like us.
Don’t know what we’d want with Maguire, Leicester are more affluent than most and the price he’d cost for the player he is just wouldn’t be worth it. He didn’t even have a particularly good season to justify the price they’d ask for.
I feel we are having real difficulty attracting non British players. No CL, an unproven manager who many expect to get sacked by Dec and the whole structure of the club isn’t very attractive for players who have other top clubs looking for them. British lads like Maguire and AWB grew up watching United dominate the league, they know what United means than the non Brits and so I think the club feels it would be a lot easier to attract these players rather than players from foreign leagues. This theory holds water especially if the reports of the likes of Pepe rejecting us are accurateDon’t know what we’d want with Maguire, Leicester are more affluent than most and the price he’d cost for the player he is just wouldn’t be worth it. Not really, it basically says we're interested in them but the deals will be hard to do and get over the line before pre season. Ties into the reports of Ole wanting all transfers done before pre season starts. It's a whole lot of nothing but it makes sense given the context. He posts 3 statements without linking them together in any clear way.
It's amazing that people can make a career out of writing without being able to put a coherent paragraph together.
1. It does seem Man Utd are interested in Maguire and Wan-Bissaka but that doesn’t mean deals imminent or even likely.
2. Most Premier League clubs have financial power now.
3. Another three weeks before pre-season training starts.
Nothing wrong with those statements in isolation, but put the 3 together without any link and it's just gobbledegook.
He’s been doing this the whole window. He had strong feeling about De Ligt, assumptions about Lukaku and now a ‘it seems like’ when it comes to Maguire and AWB. It’s like he’s making up excuses in case he gets stuff wrong. I never said United are pursuing AWB and Maguire, I said ‘it seems like’ not that it’s definite or anythingSimon Stone saying it best by saying nothing at all.
Agreed.I feel we are having real difficulty attracting non British players. I don't think it's worth spending upwards of £70m on a CB who potentially wouldn't even be our best one. I'm all for improving but that's a hell of a lot for marginal improvement. He's better than all of our CB's aside from Lindelof and that's enough for me.

The cost is irrelevant both to us as fans and to the club.
We need better centre backs than Jones and Smalling. Maguire is one of the many that are better and if he wants to come then so be it.

Who said he's 10% better? How do you equate that?We need much better not 10% better than Smalling especially at that cost

He's streets ahead.
Maguire is bang average. I’d rather buy three £25m centre backs and gamble on one being a rough diamond.
Issa Diop went for a relatively low fee last summer.
William Saliba or Joachim Andersen could be that guy this summer.
Ruben Dias has a £54m release clause and is highly though of.
He has, but you're getting the risk of him not being suited to the Epl or having adaptation issues. You do.not get that with Maguire.Maguire is bang average. I’d rather buy three £25m centre backs and gamble on one being a rough diamond.
