I keep reading on here that he has a release clause though?

Thought it was 30 or 40m euro, but the other day I read 100m euro. @SCP
Those players who have high release clauses will never leave at that price. Don’t worry with that. The only rumours I heard recently was that Hugo Viana the Football director was recently at City. Don’t worry that no one will pay that clause if it is so high. Don’t waste your time with links from a Bola or Record. Possibly his agent is leaking things to the press.

Aargh thanks mate. Just wasn’t sure about the rumored value of the clause either, as I’ve heard it was reduced (after that club issue last year) to €40m but read €100m the other day.

I hope we’re in for him.

So two years ago Udinese sold Bruno Fernades to Sampdoria for 6m Euros. A year later Sampdoria sold him to Sporting for 9.69m Euros. A year after that both City and United are fighting for his signature and are ready to spend upwards of 50m on him? WTF is wrong with our club? Why would we spend that kind of money on a player who we could have got for only 10m a year ago? Can someone please start recognizing talent before it comes to this?

As for the Navas rumours, not sure what the point of that is. Sure, he's a good keeper, but no better than Romero...

To be fair a lot of people on here will say similar players arent good enough for us and we need more proven quality and then rave about the players 18 months later and also there are some players look talented and never really progress.

Thought both DeLigt and Sanchez looked top drawer for Ajax in the final against us.............a lot of people were rubbishig them as not ready and over rated as we beat them and that we needed proven players and not to block the development of players like Tuanzabe....then we go and sign Lindelof pffft

Hear a lot of similar too regarding the likes of Bissaka/Dalot, Rice/Garner

As for Fernandes, only saw him in Italy once or twice and looked decent but no more (only one game yes)....not seen since, but kind of think back to Pastore who looked great in Italy, was getting linked heavily with us, went PSG and not really done much......I actually thought he would become one of the worlds best players too

Relax and don’t worry. One thing I am sure no player will leave Portugal at anything similar to that price. The rest we don’t know what’s true or not.

I can't even be bothered with this all summer and I honestly dont give 2 shits if he leaves. Probably our most overrated player ever.

Get a deal sorted before the end of the season and re-invest the money into a new midfield.

So, you'd go to City instead of the more famous club, United, because they are in a better position now right ? but, if it's madrid, well, you'd go to madrid before Athletico, because ? Madrid are in a shit position right now compared to Athletico.

Your post doesn't make sense.

Won’t that fact Real are in the CL and are likely to spend big to get back to where they were, plus the fact City are one of the best sides in Europe, make this comparative inappropriate.

Why is he talking to his brother?

Whoops, I misread it as coming from Florentine (Perez), Madrid chairman about Pogba, rather than Florentine Pogba his brother!!

If it's his brother, then fair play!

Not at all. Not saying that. But it does make me nervous a bit. Fred was supposed to be Pep team quality and he barely looks PL standard.
Yeah, fair enough. I think Fred may not yet be a lost cause. But feck me, what a waste Sanchez has been.

What an underwhelming signing he would be. Touch like a donkey half the time and can't even get a regular game for Lyon.

Honestly if that's now our level then forget it. I'd rather give Mason a go and other young lads than waste more cash on average players like him.

..."I said that he was good," "But you could mention other players to me and I would say the same. He is a good player and I said that I know him and nothing else. I won't get into it and even less so now. Pogba is a Manchester United player. At the end of the season, we will see what happens. Those who will come and those who will go... I never said we would bring Pogba and I wouldn't say it until thinks were done."...

So, Zidane: "I know Pogba and is a good player, but won't say nothing else, I won't get into it and even less so now"

Zidane few second later: "we'll see at the end of the season, what happens, I never said we bring Pogba, and I wouldn't say it unitil things were done."

Zidane speaks a lot for a guy who says he won't speak.

Felix is likely going to be a world-class star. Will be both hilarious and unsurprising if he goes to City over us, or that we were never in for him in the first place.
