This should be fun. As in, reading the responses on the caf. Another club has filled their sacred role, but with a rookie. People will be unsure whether to criticise us or not, trying to remember their stance on Fletch and Rio first!

At least they have got on with it, we still haven't done that.

Yeh we have done it late but I don't think they'd have much influence in this summer window anyways. It's too late for that.

whether it works or not for Chelsea, at least they made the appointment quickly. United has been talking about their Technical Director/DoF/whatever nonsense title they want to give the position for months now.

You mean the media have. And it’s nowhere near as bigger story who the director is at Chelsea.

Eh what? Chelsea's technical director quit them in November. So it's been what, 7 months? Hardly quick.

Not sure I'd agree from a personal point of view but each to their own. He's like the new Barca version of Pedro, quick and good footballer but mainly feeds off balls between the lines to get in behind. They'd probably compliment each other well on opposite wings but Sancho is the more technical creator and is far more skillful and exciting to watch.

Highlight video is underwhelming.

I rate him very highly. Been following Fiorentina quite closely due to Milenkovic. Chiesa really caught my eye. Had he been playing for a better team, then his output would've been insane. Good pace and fantastic close control and dribbling for a wide player. Whoever signs him will have struck gold IMO. Reminds me of Robert Pires. Nothing like Pedro which was suggested by another poster.

Can't just get rid, all depends on if anyone actually wants them.
Yeah this is the dilemma United have. The contracts they’re on are fantastic, why would they want to leave? Who’s going to pay those wages? So the only other option is to let their contracts run down and let them go for free. So, a good chance for Mata to go but instead United look like offering him another deal. It’s a vicious circle that it seems United are stuck in. This Sanchez malarkey, it wouldn’t surprise me if United had to pay a part of his wages to pack him off. It’s depressing.

Pretty damning stats for martial there. You expect a winger will run less distance but sprint more. He doesn't actually appear to be doing much of either which explains why he keeps disappearing in games.

We piss on everyone in a popularity contest.

It’s all, we’re thinking about creating this role, we are talking to candidates, we are considering so and so, we are getting a clearer idea on who is a better fit, we have no idea if we’re gonna do it, we think we will appoint one, we are talking to candidates, and repeat the cycle.

Great move by Chelsea and we're gonna give it to ex player hoping he's gonna be good.
Oh wait.
