1. Portuguese team wants to hype up a player that kind of looks decent.
2. They invent interest from United.
3. They invent competing interest from Real.
4. ??????
5. Profit.

It's honestly happened dozens of times in the last 10 years. The whole thing is so predictable.

Then Lindelof happened.

Isn't he on loan at Milan?
I have no idea how higuain would fit in in the premier league.. he has looked out of shape for few years now.

He is on loan from Napoli.

Old and slow imo . His strike rate this season is 6 in 15 games and this is Serie A. Can't see him getting into double figures in the premier league.
I'd be delighted to see him at Chelsea

He`s on loan from Juventus. They signed him for €90 million in 2016.

Not a bad price at all these days....Bayern must be losing their touch is getting people from the German league on frees

Frustrating to see other clubs doing deals but I suppose this is the state we find ourselves in post Mourinho

Have they bought him to play RB or CB?

Might be RB if they buy Lucas Hernandez. Unless Lucas is going to replace Alaba.

What’s for sure though is that none of Lucas Hernandez, Pavard and Süle will be bench options.

@GhastlyHun After Pavard, do you think Bayern will still pursue Lucas Hernandez? If so, surely all of Hernandez, Pavard and Süle will be starters in the near future as Boateng and Hummels are phased out, which would mean either Lucas will start at LB or Pavard will start at RB? Unless you are looking to move to a permanent back 3/5 in the future.

Rafinha will leave, which means we have exactly two designated full backs in Alaba and Kimmich for two FB positions. If we start phasing out Hummels and Boateng, we absolutely need more defenders. We could line up for example Hernandez/Alaba - Pavard/Hernandez - Süle - Kimmich. Even with Hernandez there's still place for one additional new player at CB/RB.

Very frustrated that we haven't gone in strongly for Pavard at that price

Do you really think we'd be quoted the same price? Bayern always seem to get a good price, often too good imho. Never could put my finger on it. Imagine us getting James on loan with an option of buying him for 35 million. That would never happen. We'd be quoted 100 mil.

I was beeing sarcastic mate, clearly we need a CB more than a RW atm. And i doubt the board would spend much in january so CB priority.

Oh I know you're being sarcastic about the CB part, I just don't think us being in for Carrasco is so far fetched. Would two incomings really be too much to ask?

In the CB position we need to sell before we buy, same as what Mourinho was told in the summer. Smalling, Lindelöf, Jones, Bailly and Rojo. That's 5 first team CBs. We could do with getting rid of the latter 3 sooner rather than later, but it's unlikely such major surgery will happen in 3 weeks as you said.

I feel like we won't see any changes to the roster this window, mostly because we won't find buyers for our players and the squad is basically full.
