Well I think I remember reading somewhere that he's a fan of the EPL, maybe he's a United fan. Also with VDS there, I'm sure he'd be happy to deal with us
Then the most important thing IMO is that we are probably the only top club which can offer him a starting spot.

There's also the Raiola factor, we've lined his pockets over the last 3 years.

I enjoy the nonsense as much as anyone, but I can’t help but feel it would be better on so many of you to accept there will be no united signings in this window.

Just can’t see signings being sanctioned before the DOF and new manager are known

According to reports we've been after a DOF for about 2 years now, exactly how long do you think it takes to bring one on board?

No idea, but I'd assume the most capable ones are employed and hard to prise away.

I think Raiola could well be a big factor in any potential transfer for de Ligt.

He wields a lot of power no doubt and we've been his biggest source of income recently, plus van der Sar is on the Ajax board isn't he? I'd hope between them they'd lean things in our direction.

I think Daley Blind will be the one that he will turn to for advice regarding a potential move to us. Let's hope he shares some fond memories of his time at United.;)

Yes.......lets just hope he has a case of the Jason Bourne's when it comes to recalling the last couple of seasons he spent here. :nervous:

That's true, although I'm not sure if there's maybe been a cooling of the relationship there subsequently - Ibrahimovic and Mkhitaryan have been moved on, the Mourinho-Pogba fallout and Lukaku dumping him. Honestly I don't know if the history with Raiola would be a help or a hinderance vis-à-vis De Ligt.

You've played a bunch of relegation candidates and suddenly you're better than Chelsea. At least wait and see if you beat Spurs before becoming irrational.

Anyway, I think CHO will move back to the PL within 3 years for mega-money. He's that talented. Will be a real gut punch to see him go. Especially since Willian has been awful this season and he should really be starting in his place.
Bayern aren't Dortmund.

They usually only sell their over the hill crocks to the English clubs.

Not sure what happened with Lukaku but things with Ibra seemed to end amicably and in the Pogba/Mourinho feud we ended up siding with his client, maybe I'm just looking at it glass half full though.

Maybe they are known?

Behind the scenes anyway.

A RB who can CB, looks big and strong and is being scouted by the top clubs. Has anyone seen him play enough to give an opinion on whether we should be in for him?
He's excellent, have a Porto fan who I work with who raves about him, have seen him play a few times and he looks conposed and the full article already.

I don't want anymore Brazilians at United. Not right now anyway. We seem to break them all.

Yeah Raiola will go where he and de Ligt get the most money. Of course it isn't great dealing with him but if he gets us the players of the quality of Pogba, Zlatan and de Ligt, then we can't complain too much.

And yes, van der Saar does currently work for Ajax so hopefully he'll put in a good word in for us. Realistically he'll probably want what's best for Ajax and the player.

To be fair, given the fact that Bournemouth paid £19m for a striker that's scored one goal, I'd expect them to ask for £532m for Wilson who's on 28 PL goals.

not to get in the way of you going off, but hiring the right personnel takes time. also, most managers, due to the nature of their job, are "yes men". I'd hazard a guess that Woodward has more football knowledge than your entire family tree combined. Lastly, Herrera has been one of the outstanding performers since Ole took over, so what are you even on about him being on his last legs?
Of course he will have more football knowledge than me. As he does you. Doesn't mean my opinion isn't valid. Also he should be compared to other club DOFs seeing as his role at the club includes that and he falls way short. So try again pal. Herrera is also 30, does he strike you as the Xavi type? No. He runs up and down the pitch. How long will he be able to keep that up consistently? A year more max. Therefore, he is on his last legs and we should be looking for a long term option like any normal properly run club would.
