I never thought he really wanted to come and give it a go in England. Must have been his agent and Madrid pushing that move to get cash.
He was pumped to join us. Told his family and friends, even dyed his hair red for the announcement, then we pulled the plug because we got Lukaku instead. He then had no option but to leave for Chelsea because Madrid wanted to cash in. Can't help but feel like that had something to do with him not wanting to stay in England.

I don't know about that, you could think he might have done better with the Spanish contingent in Manchester but Chelsea have a decent bunch of them too in Pedro, Azpilicueta, Fabregas and now Kepa. His wife is Italian and he was having a good time in Italy until Madrid used their buyback clause to bring him in and try to resell for more. That probably fecked with him more than anything else.

He had to agree to move back to Real Madrid when they activated the buyback, it's not they used a stage hook on him.

Aren't people worried that squad members will be pisses to see this kid come in and get such a hefty wage packet, people will be justified in asking for more.

Same could have been said about Wayne Rooney back in 2004. Wonderkids are one in a million, I think the players will appreciate the talent of the lad and know the club would be making a long-term decision with a transfer like this.

If that is true about De Ligt then wtf are we waiting on? Get him in now.

Have you ever thought maybe with some of the best clubs in the world wanting him United is not his first option? We aren’t exactly fighting for the biggest trophies at the moment.

What do you mean. We've got Ole the revolution has already startedwt

that hair dying was nothing to do with the move. It was just before he joined up with Spanish squad. I know a paper tried making out he died it ready to join but absolute nonsense imo

Fabregas has been very good for us, too. Arguably one of, if not the best passer of a ball i have seen in the modern era. The passes he can spot and find are just outstanding. His assist v Burnley on his debut was ridiculous

Wondered why it was so quiet today re. rumours then thought perhaps its because its a sunday

So why did he shave his head not long after getting it done then?

Our players would do well to look after their own interests and escape a culling rather than worry about who is coming into the club.

Some of our lot have been on extremely thin ground for a while now and it can't all be placed on Mourinho.

Between now and the summer, those that want to stay at the club better prove their worth otherwise they've given even reason why they should be usurped by incoming players.

Wayne Rooney was already a superstar at 17 playing in the biggest and best league in the world and was powering England through the Euro. And a forward. Can't compare.

This guy any good?

Does not look as good as Torreira did when playing in Serie A, but have a similar intensity to the game as Herrera, but better on the ball and in attack. His abilites seems to fit the B2B mould and maybe seen as a replacement or improvement for Ander. Hopefully there is something in this rumour and not bullshit as a method from Cagliari to start a bidding war.

Bingo!

Yeah, one of the highly rated young B2B midfielders, he's a like Herrera in work rate and intensity and look better on balls than Herrera.
isn't he right sided B2B? What will happen to Fred in this case?

Stay on the bench and/or earn his starting spot like players should?
Try to be a better player? Try win a place in the team?
yea, makes sense of course, but would first give him a chance in a more direct side and more time to prove himself. Buying young player will devoid him of any confidence (if he has any left)

We have so many average underperforming players in our squad I don't care what happens to half of them to be honest, they don't play like they're worthy of being at the club anyway.

Or it could light a fire up his backside and make him realise what he's put in hasn't been enough
