Just saw Solanke went to Bournemouth for 19m (can only presume this has a add-on)...Liverpool lucked out there, seeing as Wilson looks to be on his way to Chelsea and Bournemouth are probably a bit desperate to get someone in now. Unfortunately for them he's just been confirmed to out for a month...

35 for Pavard is a steal, he is a world cup winner and can play as RB and CB.

If the release clause is true I don’t know why we aren’t into him.
The release clause is for the summer and he is headed to Bayern by all accounts

I don't think he can have any regrets - won all there is at Barcelona, won World Cups, returned to England and won the League with an FA Cup. I think he will be looked back on as a very good player - obviously at his best with Arsenal but a very good player throughout nonetheless.
He didn’t win the Champions League with Barcelona.

Really? TBF I just assumed he must have during his time there. Just checked looks like he joined the year after they won one and helped them win a Super Cup I guess.

In any case he's broadly made the right moves throughout his career. Good haul to end with.

He came just as they’d won it (2011) and then he left before they won it again (2015).

He’s had a brilliant career though. I just think he probably didn’t quite reach the heights he was expected individually. Hes has massive successes though and won a ton.

Manolas is good but he can't be our only CB signing. If we shipped out Jones and Rojo, maybe Bailly, and signed Manolas and a better CB, we'd be extremely well stocked for next season in that position.

De Ligt (80m) > Alderweireld and Manolas for 60m > Koulibaly (100m)

Alderweireld + Manolas + Lindelöf + Smalling would give us a very decent central defence for a few years.......and Tuanzebe should be ready for the 2020/2021 season.

Where have you got 60m for Manolas?

Read again my post ;) Alderweireld for 25m and Manolas for 35m = 60m

Ah yeah makes sense, thought you meant De Light was better than Alderweireld and Manolas was better value than Koulibaly

Arsenal, the club that is currently ahead of us in the table and has finished ahead of us in 4 of the last 5 seasons? That Arsenal?

Yes that Arsenal. They’re still shite, what’s your point?

Arsenal can't currently afford the Suarez transfer. The options are either a loan to Arsenal or that he stays in Barça until the summer.

Regarding the DeLigt news(?), that extremely-reasonable sounding 75m probably ain't staying at that price for long; bidding war between six or so clubs. Which everyone and their grandma knows is exactly why Raiola set it there. Plus the fact that it's not really 75m but actually 85m.

Also now I want to see an agent negotiating on behalf of an agent...negotiating on behalf of a player and his agent.

This sounds like Ed's kind of business, I mean that salary is roughly around Rabiot's.

Ed'll probably give Raiola 10m more and up the salary to 290k/w. Raiola's pricing fits way too well with Ed's particular innate insecurities.
