That’s a fantastic move for Kiko considering where his career was going.

Marchisio should have known better than to go to Zenit... He's not too old yet, could have chosen a better league. Probably just went for money.

File with Ronaldo, Ramos, Alves...

Please don't tell me this is another briefing. I refuse to believe we were stupid enough to think Godin would sign for us considering he hadn't even expressed a hint of discomfort at Atletico, apart from the fact that he wanted a new contract.

The annoying thing is those would of been two fantastic signings for the midfield and probably would of set us up for years to come.

Goretzka was never going to leave Germany and I think Can to Juventus was agreed way before the season ended. If either were feasible and Mourinho wanted them I don't see any reason why Woodward would block them. Both young and profitable.

What baffling is they both would be on free. Why would we wasted opportunity like that? Can and Goretzka would never come here regardless. Just nothing story there

If he was wasting time scouting Liverpool players then it's probably for the best that he left. There hasn't been a player transferred between the clubs for over half a century, theres a reason for that.
Can technically wouldn't be transferring from Liverpool - he would have been a free agent.

I think that's his point, they were preferred signings but both maybe made their decisions early. Nothing to say either rejected United or Mourinho didn't want to sign them. I personally don't think either would have worked with Pogba though and would be backups for him rather than starters.

I’m aware mate but the Bosman rule has been in place for over 20 years yet no player has ran down their contract and moved between clubs.

It seems like generally no one at either club likes the idea of signing each other’s players. United definitely won’t even consider selling any player to Liverpool. I know i personally wouldn’t want us to sign a Liverpool player.

So ive no idea why that guy was scouting Liverpool players.

If somebody could tell me what exactly Can does that would be really helpful. Never got the fuss. Nothing player.
A Khedira type player, so high work rate, physically strong, box to box with a solid engine. Not the best of midfielders, but on a free transfer, you can always sell him for £20m a year later if doesn't perform.

This is pretty much nailed on to be Neves of Wolves, isn't it? :(

I like Neves - but he is so far away from Fernandinho as you can come. Fernandinhos biggest asset is that he marshals the defense and never loses the ball - kinda like Keane was an expert at doing. I have seen 2 of Wolves' matches this season and Neves is much better further up the field - and he at least few times in each of those matches lost the ball in very dangerous positions. F
