That's a brilliant window on paper but a young Kepa that will take a little time to adapt and an almost entirely new midfield that will obviously not just gel immediately. Could be a dangerous cup team though but I suspect should fall behind the top 2-3 early and ultimately struggle to get 4th. Long term though looks to be the start of something very good.
Yeah, our summer had been pretty awful up until today. I'm still sort of in shock that we're actually going to be panic buying some quality players this time. No Drinkwater's or Djilobodji's.

And we are in advanced talks to sign Mbappe from PSG in a swap deal involving Martial and Darmian.

Appreciate the contract and awol situation is a little different, but why we are apparently at least keeping Martial when he isnt happy, isnt playing regularly and bar the first three months herethe time he has played admittedly not enough or in the right position has only shown glimpses and nothing to justify the fee, it is three years now for a player who at this moment is our third choice left winger.
Pogba may be a load of press rubbish as he is back training but there is something in it and his agent stinks. I think we are a much better side with Pogba in it, but again you could argue to a lesser degree the same argument as with Martial bar the playing time.
I am not doubting the talent of either, you would have to maybe question the players mental state....and of course why the manager isnt getting the best out of them too. Devils advocate, why would they be happy playing in this current side which opens up a whole different argument.
Kurzawa is crap.

Pogba to Barca? Cover of tomorrow's L'Equipe
What it actually says:

This Pogba Raiola stuff reminds me of the many times Ronaldo decided he was leaving Real Madrid over the past 5 years or so just to force them to give him a new deal.
Mourinho has spent almost as much as Guardiola (£70m difference in net spend if Zinchenko deal goes through) but whilst he remains as coach it's the board's job to back him. I think Mourinho may feel that they have not done their job this window. I think the fans should get an explanation.

Kind of smells like Barca feel their fans just need to know they are in for superstar players. Dembele and Mina are coming from Barcelona for £60m and Pogba in return
Maguire is coming for Jones paying them £60m
Alderweirweld is coming for Smalling and Jones and we are paying them £10m
We are signing Savic for £120m
So only spending £100m, though bad news we will still have Fellaini. In all seriousness I do expect us to sign a centre back tomorrow but also have a feeling we will either a) Pay a ludicrous fee or even worse b) Refuse the last minute ludicrous fee and fail to get a deal over the line with ludicrous negotiating. I do see quite a few last hour deals beign done by some of the smaller clubs, think bar Spurs and ourselves we will see very little from any of the other big clubs though.
The Pogba rumors are a worry though with a longer window for Barcelona, as a lot can happen after our window shuts if the player throws toys out of his pram. I would like us to sign somebody like ODembele as not only a good signing but a safety net as well.

Not good enough...Stephen Howson suggested the transfer a while ago. No huge fan even though I enjoy some of his videos...but I would disagree with you as it does appear he has been touted around other clubs by his greedy agent for several months now to engineer a move. I wouldnt expect this would happen without his blessing either, certainly recent events do look fishy.
We are a better side with Pogba in it and talent wise he has pretty much everything, performance wise though he hasnt been clsoe to the level he should be at consistantly for us. Was hopeful Fred may allow him a bit more freedom with Matic behind this season, but tbh if there was enough time in the window I wouldnt have been gutted to see him sold for a pot of gold if a suitable replacement was available and the rest of the money was used to strengthen other areas too...no time for that now though I woul dhave thought

You do have to wonder if there is something in the Dembele rumor. It just seems to pop up too many times for there to be nothing in it imho. Wouldn't be surprised to see one unexpected Frenchie signing bc of Pogba.. Not despite of Pogba. I still refuse to believe he wants to leave United. Bigger contract is the only angle I'm willing to believe on that one.
