They need a midfielder, shift Dier back to defence and problem solved.
Plus I can't think of who we have that would interest Spurs that we would let go.

Just had a look at Spurs' first team to verify the HG claims and they can't take any more non-HG players so that's that on that.

Lloris, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Sanchez, Son, Janssen, Lamela, Vorm, Dier, Sissoko, Llorente, Dembele, Eriksen, Aurier, Moura, Gazzaniga, Nkoudou, Wanyama.
That's 18. They'll need rid of at least one of those.

This is re: the tweet saying they'll need players plus cash.
 
It's just baffling that it doesn't appear they're even considering bringing in a LB who is actually left-footed. So Sandro was the only LB on the list? Get a DOF and quarantine Woodward in the marketing and branding department.
 
I'll take Darmian (to stick it to the Italians who keep fussing about with loans) and Rojo plus about 10m. If Rojo's market value is 30m and Darmian's 15m then that's a 65M deal. Of course knowing Levy it's more than likely they want Pogba+Martial and cash.

Don't think we had any LBs on the list. Mourinho was talking about Young getting 50+ appearances next season at the end of last season and Shaw said Mourinho sent him 'positive' texts over the summer.

Castles was the only one really going on about Sandro and he's got stuff wrong in the past.

As for a DOF we won't get one until Mourinho leaves.

So what is Levy really dealing with here? They pretty much need to sell Alderweireld then if they're over their non HG players. So why is he dragging this thing out?

what about the manager? isn't it his job to identify players? If there was only 1 LB, its because Jose and our scouts are having a lacklustre identification process.

How would that fix the problem, wouldn't they still be over their HG list? Plus Martial has a higher value than Alderweireld so I don't see how that would work either. None of this is making any sense to me.

They can loan one of their non-HG players to other leagues, if they can't sell Toby. Dembele and N Koudou IIRC were linked for moves to other leagues
 
They can sell Toby and buy Grealish. I dont see the fuss with player plus cash. I would be shocked if we gave them a player and cash for Toby.
 
I know a lot don't like him but I found this an interesting listen
