7 year contract for Kepa!

United must have a sore neck. They've 'turned their attention' to about 7 different CBs in the last 48 hours.
Yup. I'd love to know just how many we've been serious about. My guess is 1 and perhaps a 2nd as a back-up MAX and the price has either been too far off our valuation or we'll get it done tomorrow.

The press get worse and worse every year.

Good on Chelsea I say. If you have a player that doesnt want to play for the club, get them straight out the door and a replacement in......something we should allude to
He had one year left on contract. They were hardly going to let Courtois go for free. He wanted to go last year too. If they let him leave then, they would have got Alisson type money instead of Drinkwater.

People have such a soft spot for other clubs it's insane. Chelsea let Tbo get to 1 year left on his contract , they didn't plan a replacement and then Tbo went on strike and Chelsea had to buy a 70 million keeper . Yeah good on Chelsea

Kurt Zouma? Yeah right, that’s never going to happen. Very average player for a top team, well, at least one aspiring to be one. He is literally not better than Smalling, or Jones for that matter.

That's what happens when you buy plenty of bad players. They are very hard to move on when on big wages. Blind rojo darmian felliani not good enough. Herrera and mata questionable. Can't wait for this window to close. It's been a shocker. Ed hasn't got the job done and jose is a miserable git, slating ed and every second player. Hopefully in 2/3years United will be in better position with different manager,DOF and hopefully the likes of pogba martial and Rashford are still here, matured and performing to the max

Often here people saying why should anybody care about what we pay as a transfer fee or wages, yoiu have just answered why we should care. I have no problem big wages to big players, especially improved contracts when they have proved there worth to the club, but some of the fees we have paid and wages for very average players or good players that dont fit our side at all is just wrong and come back to bite us just how you have said.
Same time if we are selling and not the player askign to leave we are paying off wages so it isnt like they should have a problem moving for smaller contracts really.
Saying all that I cant believe with just 24hours odd left we have virtually all the deadwood and unhappy players still here and have only made one major signing so far. Think Fred will prove to be a good signing and Dalot could be a real gem.....but it is looking like a terrible window at this moment in time

Great end up to the window - constantly linked with shite centre-backs without any hope of addressing the major weaknesses in our squad.

This is why my passion for football is dying. When you buy a goalkeeper I've never freaking heard of for more than some countries' GDP.

I love how the same papers jump between too. Are they aware that it's possible to negotiate for more than one player at a time?

Rojo plus cash?
Smalling plus cash?
Darmian plus cash? (Unlikely but I mean they look like they're offloading Rose)

I think Maguire is the best bet at this point but the situation is bleak and in all honesty I don't think signing a CB will make a big difference to the situation at the club which now seems bigger than the personnel on the pitch.

Yeah I agree with all you said. Fred and Dalot might be good. Hopefully they don't turn out to be duds too. But this window need to be so much more than it hasn't been. We improved in league position and should be looking to cement that and close on City. We needed a rb cb lb cm and rw. And haven't got even half them sorted. In process we have totally missed up martial situation and managed to sign felliani.. only positive bar two new signings has been a.pereira who looks like a new player. Sad to see TFM and Axel go out on loan again though
