Going into the WC I remember him saying that he could yet stay and see out his contract. After the WC he came out with his big mouth in the media (which he always does) and arrogantly said the terms we offered him were not enough on the back of his WC performances.
Wonder if the odds Hazard will follow Courtois just went up or down. Seems like that's a saga that completely fell by the wayside.

To be fair, anyone with an ability to run fast and jump high might seem like a phenomenal talent to Fabregas. The man is a footballing genius in a body of an office worker.
As for Zouma, he's a great athlete, but I was never impressed by the technical side of his game.
I assume it was done at least partially so we could command a bigger fee when selling him. Of course that assumption only works when the player is someone other clubs might actually want.

Chelsea can ask for Martial all they like, but there's no chance we're letting him go this late into the window unless we've got something up our sleeve in the RW department.
Woodward won't go for that IMO. Martial is valued much higher internally regardless of his position with the manager.

It's been plainly obvious for years that we need one, no strategy or planning, and absolutely no one at the club in an executive role who understand how the game works, dealing with agents, scouting systems, players who would fit in a team etc. All our senior people know is how to get bizarre sponsorship deals.
Fecking hell people you know we can still sell past this Thur right? I'd still like to think we re a humane club and not just look at money but also sell them to clubs the players want to go to. It's not live stock.

stfu duffmanIt's been so long since I've seen Martial get a run of games upfront (and that's the only position I'm interested in us getting someone in) that I'm not convinced.
The fact we can sell players after the deadline is a blessing and takes the pressure off somewhat. We only sell if we have signed a replacement. For all we know the deals might just be pending and waiting on the situation at 5pm tomorrow.
Martial is 100 times more clinical than Morata will ever be. In an attacking system like Sarri's he would likely thrive.

Hopefully in 2/3years United will be in better position with different manager,DOF and hopefully the likes of pogba martial and Rashford are still here,matured and performing to the max
