I know our CBs aren't exactly top class but is Smalling, Jones, and Rojo that bad that we seek to bring Kurt Zouma?
He just wants someone who'll stay fit at this stage. Zouma's injury was freakish but 34 games in the league last season is decent going. Playing under Mourinho before makes me warm to the transfer a bit - he would know his character, the fact that he's seemingly this far down the pecking order though does the opposite.

Surely we have a youth player that can be given a chance if we don’t get Toby, sooner give a young un a chance than buy Boateng, although it looks like hes going to PSG.

Zouma might actually be a bargain. It still baffles me why we are looking at CBs though.

Zouma , Toby , Smalling, Bailey ,Lindeloff has everything. Youth ,power, pace, aerial ability and aggression.

No way we loan Michy before 31st of August. Sarri needs to see him first in action. I think he can be our first striker this season.
Kepa/Tibo if you look at a bigger picture is great deal for Chelsea. Next five years Tibo will earn 60m and Kepa 30m so we are at the same no matter of Kepa's price.

And what is this obsession Utd have with Chelsea? Mata, Matic, Jose, Lukaku, Willian... Now Zouma? I bet your next Manager is going to be Conte and you guys would like Hazard and Kante as well?

Zouma is a good player and was decent at Stoke.

I wonder what planet you lot are on at times.

I remember an interview with Fabregas where he was being asked about the various attributes of his Chelsea team mates and he said Zouma had some of the best skills in the squad (and he was being serious).

Zouma is not a donkey. He's a tremendous centre back.

Despite parking the bus last season DeGea was still one of the busiest keepers in the league. He made more saves against Arsenal in 90 minutes than Ederson had made all season up to that point.

If you defend that hard and still can't actually stop people from shooting, buying more forwards might not be the answer.

Are we that desperate we're actually considering Zuma? We need experience in our defender not a novice.

They'll start again every time Courtois makes a mistake. The British press won't be giving up those precious clicks that easily.
Yup. News of a swap deal soon enough I'm sure or a De Gea to Real, Couirtois back to Atletico, Oblak to PSG with Hart to United deal.

Seriously, we should pay media shills like City and Liverpool so that so many press don't talk bollocks non-stop about us.

Never convinced by this kind of stat. Plus all we really need IMO is to get a settled partnership that stays fit, which may or may not be solved by a change of staff.

Personally, I think Bailly and Smalling is fine. I would not say no to Alderweireld if we could get him but that is just like any other class player. I don't see him as fixing a big issue in our team in the same way that new full backs might, or a naturally right sided attacker might.

Zouma wouldn't be the most ridiculous signing, if we're insistent on getting a centreback come what may.

I don't think he'd be in our first choice pairing though.

I've been impressed with him and think the season loan at Stoke was a success.

Bizarre stuff from Chelsea regarding Courtois. Was it right before the World Cup or right after that it looked like the deal was sown up for Madrid? Why did they wait so long to sell, did they think they were going to convince him to stay.

It was right after the world cup that Courtois personally announced he was coming back to the club to negotiate a deal.
