Rather we wait for a year and buy Alderweireld for 25 million than buying Mina for 30 million after one OK to good tournament

I absolutely believe Wilf would choose Spurs over United, Glaston is right. London based, play better football, core of promising English players, would get games on the wing and up front, there are many reasons. That's even discounting his previous stint at United. He would absolutely flourish at Spurs.

What's in Palace's favour though is that Spurs still don't act like a big club in the transfer market. Steve Parish was clever in tying him down to a 100k a week plus contract last year as a) it put him towards the top end of Spurs' wage structure already, so I can't see them substantially increasing his wages and b) it means we can realistically ask for £70m plus (even then I wouldn't sell personally).

I don't see them paying that this year, I expect he will score 15 goals for us this season and go for similar money next year.
Find it funny that Spurs have this 'core of English players' yet face a penalty for not having enough homegrown players!!

Silly thing is Dier, although Captained England in the past, doesn't count as Home Grown

Youngsters Amos and Walker-Peters will be upgraded into Squad this year so numbers not a problem as reported by garbage press

"Man Utd want to make two more signings in the summer transfer window and while their transfer strategy is lucrative it is also risky.
United could command a £30million fee for Marcos Rojo.
United's refusal to take hits on the wantaways and unwanteds has partially contributed to their relative transfer inactivity."

If true, and we are not even interested, something is wrong somewhere. Apart from his footballing ability and promise, he is Woodward's dream of getting more inroads into the US market. Swap for Martial?

I've always had trust in Mourinho and his signings but, if we don't go for Pulisic for the apparent amount said in the press and go for Willian instead, I'd be annoyed.

Pulisic may be the most overrated player on the planet. Tough between him and Harry Maguire.

Luckhurst shit stirring again.

Brilliant that you've only seen Mina play at the world cup yet you'd be happy to dump Smalling for him. Smalling is a vastly better defender than Mina.

Yes that is a fair comment that I have barely seen him play. But can I ask when you have seen him play that many times to be able to judge Smalling is a vastly better defender?

We had including Blind SEVEN centre backs and for whatever reasons not one single one of them can be described as anything better than average in there performances up to now in that position, and Smalling for example has been here nearly long enough for a testamonial? I am not even sure I said I would dump Smalling anyway?

I may as you have said suggested a player I have barely seen, but surely we cant be happy with the defenders we currently have, have standards slipped that much fans are happy with what we have, when it is a million miles away from a Ferdinand/Vidic, Stam/Johnsen, Bruce/Pallister combination?

Truly baffling why people care about prices when its not there own money.
Their frame of reference is video games. Money takes equal footing with what happens on the pitch.

What's weirder is that many will care deeply about transfer related finances, but not about sponsorships or gate receipts. It all comes into the same pot.

I prefer to think about the football rather than the accountancy. You'd might as well support Coca-Cola or McDonald's if that's your schtick.

A thousand times this. Richest club in the world "omg can't believe we paid 40mil for a 29 year old Matic" etc. Clueless.

Good lad. I was expecting him to do that, seen as the other BVB stars are never allowed to leave unless either teams pay close to world record fees for them (Demeble) or they run their contract down (literally everyone in the last 10 years).

We should go in for him next year, he should be available under 50m and as others have said he’s a United fan and an American, which is huge commercially

Scenes when Chelsea replace Willian with Pulisic and United funding the deal.

I agree. Lots of people seem to have labelled Dembele a flop as he didnt do much in his first season in Barcelona or play much in the world cup when he has had injuries and some great players keeping him out of the French side, that baffles me as although they paid a ridiculous fee he is hugely talented.
Yet everybody seems to rave about Pulisic. Personally think he is a good player, doing well for a good club thay has struggled recently. I dont see someone who can be a great player though personally. Also dont get all the commercial talk. It is hardly like signing an Asian player affect wise, USA isnt going to go wild for it lets be honest.

He was never on 160k or 140, Luckhurst is not reliable, Rojo hardly played games yet we give him 160K when we gave Matic 120k and Lindelof 75k? There's a rumour that we hope to extend Jones's contract and raise to 100k+.

So the printed wage slip leaked was a hoax was it?140k a week i think.

We were so strangely desperate to bring rojo in that we paid and gave.nani up

Like Morata / Bakayoko right?
Scenes as Pulisic fails spectacularly while posts like these are made every summer because these posts doesn't have any accountability.

Willian is much better than Pulisic or Bailey. Obviously they are both talented players who may (or may not) have bright futures ahead of them, but Mourinho is clearly looking for someone for the next couple of years.

Rojo must go. I honestly wouldn't expect to get more than 15-20m. We've offloaded a lot of players with high wages over these last few windows. Don't think that will be a problem. Keeping him for 6 months at even 150kpw costs us 1.5m. Get whatever you can and play Fosu Mensah instead.

Yerry Mina started 4 games for Barca last season. Played 3 Colombia and was pretty strong. Either of those bodies of work are too little to judge him. He was excellent for Palmeiras in Brazil. Don't think he's United quality yet, but definitely a good buy for Everyone or Lyon.

Shhh. United aren't allowed to sign youth because they're all overrated. Only middle of the road but "consistent" talent for us.

 Its time to start spending around Jose at this stage....buy Willian for him and tell him we are buying Pulisic for the future.
