Oh man it's so depressing being linked with Willian and Maguire for crazy money . Might as well go big on De Ligt and Pulisic and take a chance on them . I am sure their wages will be lower than Willian and Maguire's .

If that is not enough then there is this ridiculous rumour of us signing Harry Kane as if there weren't enough jokes being made on United's transfer strategy .

Hopefully the management has planned something better and a surprise or two awaits us by the end of the transfer window . I was kind of hoping Ribalta was working on some surprise signings but the surprise ended up being that he himself is leaving the club so it will be an intriguing end to the transfer window .

Think both are decent signings, but I agree when you consider we may be talking up to £130-40m on those two players, could do better.

I think Dalot may have been Ribaltas one and only contribution though of course we must have a list of players from him. I still dont expect Willian, am expecting Maguire and an exciting surprise signing similar to Dalot, dont know why but I am thinking a young striker

He can do better than Wolves surely. In the Premier League alone Arsenal or Everton should be all over him, and he'd do well at somewhere like Roma.

Like somebody else said, I think Wolves have done well in the transfer market so far both in purchases and holdign on to the likes of Ruben Neves.

As for Rojo, I dont think he actually even improves the Arsenal defence Sokratis is a better signing than him. We bough a rubbish lb and a decent yet overly aggresive cb from Sporting Lisbon remember not an elite club, no disrespected to them. I think WOlves is actually a really good move for him. I quite like him as a cb but think he can be a really good player for WOlves which is good for him rather than risking being on the bench at many other clubs not that much better than WOlves

"I want to play more regularly. Last season, I didn't play much -- that's my objective and my ambition. That's why I spoke with the manager and also with the club about my future. I want to leave but we will see what happens because we don't know."

I think he will leave for certain but I expect him to go after the English deadline closes and our injury concerns subside

think the only realistic destinations seem to be Italian clubs and they have to end of August

I would be really happy with Willian and actually don't care about the pricetag. He is a superb player, who would fix our problems on the right wing straight away. His output isn't something that concerns me at all, as goals and assists don't paint the whole picture. All of us have seen him play countless times and I remember him bossing the game in the first half last season against us at Old Trafford, cutting through our midfield with ease. Some people claiming we could get player x for the same amount are wildely guessing and basing their information on some dubious newspaper headlines.

If we are really interested, I could see him making a similiar impact as Matic did. Most of the users on the Caf didn't want him as well and we know how that turned out. Give the managers the players he wants, everything else doesn't make any sense.

He is a good player, no doubting that. But he ISNT a guaranteed starter at Chelsea, he would be ANOTHER ex Mourinho signing and he is near 30. Just for those reasons alone I dont want us to sign him....hell we may as well start wearing blue shirts in a season or two if it continues that way

He's not world class or a young prospect. You overpaid massively and have inflated the market. Agreed?
Maguire is 25, Van Dijk is 27. Neither of them are young prospects, and neither of them can be counted as world class. Agreed?

Reliable reports?

El Tiempo and El espectador, our two biggest newspapers. But I take everything from the media with a pint of salt. Colombian media is not pretty reliable.

Years Mina is not better than Maguire. Euro suggestion. What he is though, is better than Smalling and Jones.

He's a giant with especially good technique. Can really dribble well for his size but is not a good passer. If United were better at getting rid of the dead wood bringing him in to take Smalling or Rojo's place would have been perfectly fine.

Maguire is a better passer, Mina is stronger and has more goals in him. I prefer Alderweilder over both of them (actually, I prefer him over both of them at the same time).

Has anybody seen him bar the world cup? I know he was highly rated before going to Barcelona but never ever seen him til the world cup where it is hard to judge. I thought he was decent in the world cup myself, but liek I said Sanchez was very very good and though I rate him very highly he is still way from the finished article as he showed at time with Spurs last year.

I have seen him while he was playing at Brazil. Solid defender, good long passes, not so good near passes. Strong, with a knack for goals, but not the best ball playing defender. I prefer him over Maguire, specially considering he is worth half the money, but my ideal CB is Toby.

Seeing how good Sanchez turned to be for Spurs, and how defenders get better with Mou, I’m hopeful if we sign Mina.

Dream CB summer strategy: Sell Jones, Smalling and Rojo. Buy Toby, Mina and Maguire... Never going to happen though.

As your comparing VVD and Maguire..

I think VVDs true value is about 45m. You paid 75m.

I think Maguire's true value is about 40m. We are rumoured to pay 60m.

Essentially you overpaid by 30m and we would be overpaying by 20m.

I'm quite happy with that considering Maguire is two years younger and has the potential to be at the club 10 years (making him 35 years old). The deal would represent fair value in the current market that yourselves have inflated.

Neither are world class but both are good quality centre halves. I think Maguire has more room to improve and will do working with someone like Mourinho. He also comes with a English and United premium so all in all I don't think we can grumble at the rumoured price.

Nantes announce Lucas Evangelista. Through fortnite :D

I would actually go for Zaha. I think he has matured now (in footballing terms).

What really annoys me is that he was a Manchester United player now being expected to leave for a huge amount of money. They want 70m for him and he could of been playing on he right wing for us. He should of been given a chance to develop with us. I’d take him right now.

Knows the league, knows the club. Why not? How does he compres to Willian?

Roma will sign Bailey and sell him for triple the price in a year or two. So predictable. Those are the kind of transfers we’re really missing out on and why a DoF would help us a great deal.
