Bundesliga keeper of the year Lukas Hradecky, signs a 5 year deal with Bayer 04 Leverkusen. So where Bernd Leno going?

Ohhh that is certainly interesting, haven't heard of Leno going anywhere but Leno+Hradecky would certainly be the best goalkeeping lineup in the league.

Sam Luckhurst has constantly said we are buying Fred. It's a shame for him there isn't much else smoke.

Would Yaya even get a game? Matic gets pelters for being immobile (though I actually think he's decent for someone of his size), so Yaya now would be like watching Pogba at half speed. His legs are gone. If he was still any good, he'd have been getting games at City this season.

The idea of him coaching Paul Pogba is an appealing one, however.

God if we sign Fred this place would be weird. Signing a 5ft 6 midfielder would send some people into tailspin.

Fred to replace Carrick
Talisca to replace Fellani.

Havn't seen Fred or Talisca play so not too sure what to think.

Tbh he was the one that was pushing Matic last season when everyone else was saying we were going to get Fabinho.

He also doesn't win any headers. So I'm all for signing him on the sheer basis that it would be different to the direction Mourinho seems to be heading and thats far more exciting.

Most of our goals conceded came from set pieces, so the whole height advantage thing seems be a farce.

We do have a big midfield/attack and win a lot of aerial duels in the middle of the pitch, but our CBs and fullbacks are all pretty poor in the air (Smalling aside). We clearly have a few issues with marking at set pieces, too.

Cant wait for the reveal video on United's twitter account. fecking Fred the Red taking his head off to reveal ... Fred.

Fellaini is convinced he's some sort of superstar that won't renew at one of the biggest clubs in the world but he's only option is terrible Milan team who's fans don't want him .

Sooner he's gone the better.
He is negotiating his contract that is the full story. The rest is fans like you calling for the sensational media narrative hook line and sinker. Every player negotiates their contract. The papers just know that they will snare you and upset you if they print it every couple of days. Can't understand all this uproar over such a tiny thing, a player negotiating a contract

They will be typical Mourinho signings: Just about to peak, not mega stars, not prima donnas, hungry for the next level, diligent, effective players.

The best signings of Jose often fall into this category. E.g Drogba, Ozil, Essien, Carvalho, Milito etc. Another group he likes to sign consists of mega stars selling at bargain prices / deals who may have passed their peaks but can still offer a lot. Etoo, Fabregas, Costa, Zlatan, Sanchez etc.

Pogba was an unusual buy for Jose. He does not usually buy players at record shattering prices. I wonder if that has anything to do with the occasional Pogba problems.

A Fred and Talisca will fit in nicely into a Jose squad.

I don't believe this storey nor do I want to. I have seen him play live a few times (My Turkish friend is a Besiktas season ticket holder and flies out every week to watch them). He was even part of the consortium with his agent (so he tells me) that were negotiating a contract to profit from sell on fees.

He has his moments but I could not get over the thought that this is a level below and he would have needed to completely show something outstanding in order for it to have been a "He is too good for this league" decision.

Danish champions FC Midtjylland, signs Finnish internationalTim Sparv to a two year extension.

Best player announcement tweet in a while.

Just had a quick glance at his Twitter feed based on that announcement. Generally, he seems like a very good Twitter-er. Tweeter? Twit?

He responded to the Premier League's congratulations to City winning the league with: "But could they do it on a potato field in Horsens on a cold and windy night in March? I doubt it."

Superb. I'll give him a follow.

Says Ancelotti has signed a contract with Napoli. Announcement coming in a few hours. 2 years + option for one more. €4 after tax.

I seem to have missed the news that Napoli actually need a manger.

Has Sarri's departure been confirmed then?

He's very articulate and quite witty too. He's a United supporter as well, so that's one more likeable feature he has.

He seems like a great guy.

They'll deny his existence. Or usually what happens is they'll create another angle so he'll be labelled a grafter only
