I seem to have missed the news that Napoli actually need a manger.

Has Sarri's departure been confirmed then?
Apparently he's agreed terms with Zenit after they approached him this week. Sarri has a relatively low buy out clause in his contract, that clause ends this week, putting the ball back in Napoli's court if he doesn't move.

He's very articulate and quite witty too. He's a United supporter as well, so that's one more likeable feature he has.

He seems to speak better English than the majority of English people.

Speaks a bit about mental health, gender equality in sports and such. I dig that. Good to know he's a United fan as well. Cool guy!

This isn’t going to happen. You get these “transfer sagas” every fecking year. The player and his agent shout their mouths off for months and months about our interest and then they end up signing for Monaco, Benfica, Shalke, Torino or a team of that ilk.

If we are interested in a player, you can be damn sure Woodward has told them to keep their mouth shut during negotiations.

Wow, two professional Finns on the same page on the Caf! did not think this day would come again Tim Sparv is a great guy and we actually have some friends in common too! Hradecky has had a couple of great seasons, glad he got a nicer deal and advanced. Too bad it isn’t to a PL side. Could do well as our back-up. Miss having Finns in the league... Maenpaa just is not enough

Read Neves say he wants to stay at Wolves. Has seen what's happened with Renato Sanches and Andre Gomes and thinks he'd rather stay and become better than take a jump too far too early.

Apparently cleared out his locker at Barca
Which means he will be linked to us shortly

if Talisca goes to United it'll be the worst transfer of the summer.

If he goes to Liverpool then united are crazy to keep missing out on these low priced talents being recruited by other clubs

:redcafelogic:

Jardim confirms he'll still be the Monaco coach next season.

Manchester City will have to pay a basic fee of £60m for Riyad Mahrez with add-ons that could push the final price closer to £75m.

Do they actually need a 75 mill pound back up player?
I know he's good, but is he 75 million good?

They'll deny his existence. Or usually what happens is they'll create another angle so he'll be labelled a grafter only

He will replace the existing Fred. Fred the Red will play in midfield while Fred the Brazilian will cheer the crowd before games.

Sarri is not going to Zenit surely? I know they have money, but i doubt he would go there when his stock is so high. Chelsea for sure

Sacked? What's happening here, I was under the impression that he did a great job.
Surely they aren’t sacking him after such a good season?
Sacked? Weird choice of word
I think they got annoyed with the Zenit and Chelsea rumours along with Sarri not committing himself to the club. Is a bit unusual to sack him when they would have got a fair bit of compensation.

Was Sarri contract still going on with Napoli this summer ? Sacking doesn't necessarily mean a bad job, maybe his contract just got terminated for any reason.

Yes. I think there was a clause up until next week(?) that a team could get him for a cut price fee, otherwise they'd have to pay roughly €8M to Napoli. Disclaimer: I might be imagining it but remember reading something to that effect.

He probably wanted to leave and as you said they got annoyed with his negotiations with other clubs so they chose to terminate his contract, nothing to do with team performance or any thing.

Red tops tomorrow: Yaya and Pogba to sign for PSG.

I can't see PSG getting Pogba unless they sell someone and they'll already be buying Mbappe this year. They could put themselves in jeopardy with the FFP Sanctions.

Jose is always looking for experienced players and I think Yaya on a free wouldn't be a bad decision. It helps Pogba grow as well since Pogba has similar qualities to Yaya.

Jose may want to offload Pogba but Ed wouldn't allow that. Pogba hasn't been great but he hasn't been all that bad like many people are making him out to be. Let's be a little patient with him. Selling Pogba would be bad business sense...
