Because the only obsession you get is Ronaldo.

Seriously, people are worried that United could lose a great talent because of Sanchez who turns 30 in several months and doesn't play better than Martial.

Loads of people are Ronaldo fans (I definitely am) and there's a huge gap between him and Martial. Next season (this year actually), Martial turns 23..... remember Ronaldos' 2007/08 season when he went from 22 to 23? Chalk and cheese.

Maybe Jose could use/manage him differently (I get that) but for whatever reason, he doesn't rate him and I've never seen Martial tear it up for us. We could keep him in case he MIGHT turn into a strong player and pay him millions each year (and he might run his contract down) or move on and try to get some value back.

Never intended to say he is comparable to Ronaldo.

I know. But there isn't a single concrete source about aur transfers. Possible reasons-
1) the press knows feck all
2) or we actually aren't doing anything

Whenever we get a news from a genuine source, it almost takes 2-3 weeks to get the transfer over the line. Just lack any news is frustrating.

EDIT: it's a wc summer, that's why the impatience

Well its obviously not going to be no2

Nah, we got the likes of Bailey and Lukaku in before they got a sniff. Sandro is warming up to Matic levels. Obvious transfer waiting to happen.

Think about what you're posting.

Isn't Fellaini out of contract? Does buying a free agent cause trouble with FFP?

Nah, Real Madrid and Barcelona have the release clause on the contract renewals etc all the time.

That's true. Still odd to me advertising a buy out clause all over the official website though. Maybe do it all the time and I just haven't noticed.

I would respect Woody more if he retracted the contract offer and Fellaini ended up being clubless.

If City get De Ligt for 50m and we spend close to that on Toby Aldeweireld it would be a perfect illustration on the differences in the way the two clubs do business, and why City are set to dominate for the coming years.

Yeah City spending 50m+ every year on a centreback and still not being satisfied is really great business. Just shows how much money they can spend without batting an eyelid but apparently we spend obscene amounts because we dare to go over 50m every now and then on a transfer fee

Apart from DeGea, Bailly, Matic, Pogba not a single player I would be all that bothered about losing. We do have some talented players not performing....is it the manager or are they just over hyped though? I am more concerned about the players coming in where we are so darn average in terms of talent and performance, not particuolarly excited about the majority of players we are being linked with so far..typical Mourinho older and/or athletic type players as a whole. Still that is what could have been expected several months ago now, not sure I would trust him to get the best out of some really exciting players, who he wont sign anyway. Only a week in to the transfer window but my half empty feelings are full throttle at the thought of 4/5 out 4 experienced older players in that improve us....short term but again lose a little more of the clubs identity and dont sprinkle that exciting attacking stardust we really need (and I dont just mean attacking players). This doesnt feel like the beginning of an exciting window, more the beginning of the end for Mourinho....only the end is probably 6/9 months away

I personally think loosing Martial is not the problem, but because of Sanchez? thats just disaapointing because as it now he is a better footballer based on what Sanchez has porduced in the last 6 months and considering he is approaching 30.
But oh well, Jose must get his wishes.

Football isn't based off half a season's worth of form and Martial is not a better footballer than Sanchez.
