I've always loved Vidal, desperately wanted him here, sadly I think the period of time where a move for him makes sense is gone. Maybe if the deal was dirt cheap. We're bound to get injuries, just not sure how brilliant he'd be at this point.

Has anyone else seen the Zlatan clip where he's at Utd's training camp and he says the Manager has a surprise (but it's a secret for now)?

And if they still want a young Left Footed Brazilan RW they can just hit up Ajax again for David Neres.

Monchi is simply running Football Manager right now at Rome's office to see which wonderkid is next to Malcom in the u-21 RW list, that's how all his signings are made.

Does this count as transfer-related? If it was, you would think it would be about a big player. Then again, why would Mou tell him? Would he not leak it to some journo or something?

That BBV Marca tweet was just about the three playing in a training game.

Way more likely to be Asensio starting over Vinicius Junior once he is back from the World Cup until they sign someone.

I know its the mighty Madrid and Galatico signing each year but they already have currently Bale, Asensio, Viniscus Junior, Isco, Benzema, Vasquez. Rodrygo also to join later on. That is a front three of Isco, Benzema and Bale with three of the most exciting young talents in the world in reserve.

1) Coutinho is considered a player to fulfill Iniesta role, a creative attacking midfielder, not a front 3 role but a Modric one, playing deeper.
2) Dembelé is still a mystery, not a player one can bet to play each single one of the matches in Barça's front 3, they need alternatives.
3) Messi and Suarez are getting older each year. Barça don't want to be in Real Madrid's situation with CR7.

Sorry to break it to you, but Stuey from the Family Guy is getting older each year too

Yes both Vidal and Sanchez have been phenomenal players over the last decade but time definately passed I feel for Vidal sadly

You are talking about a cartoon :\

Now seriously, I meant to say they are simply aware they won't be able to sign the next Messi or the next CR7 as things in football now are way different, with City and PSG being able to spend zillions on the next one. They are getting their own medicine and now they're terrified, that's why Madrid is signing so many wonderkids. Buy all of them, someone will eventually work.

Yup, plus the most important thing: a coach who believes in them and who likes developing young talent. Isco has no excuse now, he was the teacher's pet in the national team thanks to Lopetegui and he will be too in his new Real Madrid.

Vinicius will play most of the year in Castilla I should think. No way Real would risk having another Odegaard-like situation, specially when the numbers are whatthey are and the player is not an essential need in attack. Rodrygo has a while till he joins. Benzema - utility he offers diminished the moment Ronaldo left. Not like he scores planty and his finishing is very iffy (or has been the last couple of years). Asensio and Vazquez have a long way to go to prove they can be consistent starters for a team chasing virtually every trophy and expected to win week in, week out. Isco too has shown that regardless of his talent, he's no Ronaldo yet and is not at the level needed to be a direct replacement.

So yeah, feel Real will indeed need to strengthen. Ronaldo scored an obscene number of goals and the team struggled when he was not scoring. Without some reinforcements or without a complete change in style, there's no way the team does as well as it has recently. Not sure I see how that's going to be immediate - Julen will have his work cut out.

We had great or World class players in almost every positions, we didn't had room for new shiny signings, Real Madrid have had a low net spend in the last years for the same reason. Also you are talking about a team that won the CL and went two CL finals.

We did need new signings, hence why SAF attempted to sign Hazard/Sneijder/Benzema etc but ended up with "there's no value in the market". Everyone and their gran knew we badly needed a new midfield but we ended up playing Cleverly every week.

Although Benzema didnt become quite the player I expected at Madrid I do think he doesnt get the credit he deserves, I mean he has been the startign striker at that club for what must be nearly a decade, bar Raul I can barely remember a striker lasting that long at Madrid. Always see him linked with other clubs each summer and a few times with us over the last few years with a lot of fans saying wouldnt want him.....shocking to me.
Also replacing Ronaldo is nigh on impossible....but Madrid already have the closest player to him in Bale, that is the replacement for the next couple of years while some of the young talents break through.....sadly for us
As for Isco, bar maybe PSG he would walk into any other side in the world I would have thought?

If he's actually fit then yeah it would be a good short term loan, have my doubts

I love Zlatan but seriously if we bring him back it will just perfectly sum up the mess we are in right now...

How do we know he’s not talking about his current manager :nervous:

Because he's at our training base in the US and tagged the post with #mutour? Wouldn't make any sense. Seems to me like this is just a marketing stunt from both Zlatan and MUFC. They could both do with some positive exposure so yeah.

Clearly wasn’t being serious :)

You think it’s a stunt with no end or a signing be it Zlatan himself or someone else?

Might be a signing but it won't be Zlatan. Think it's just a sweetener for the fans to buy the club some time in the transfer market and get the rumour mill flowing a bit. Don't think any deal is done yet.
