And he gets to stay in England. Championship is a very good standard of football too. He’s young and has plenty of opportunities ahead of him if this doesn’t work out. I understand the benefits of playing abroad when you look at Sancho and Oxford, but it’s not a given it will be a better career path than toughing it out in the championship. Goodluck to him.

Agree. Can’t believe he’s gone to Derby when he could have gone to the BL. He could get in the England team if he was doing well in the BL whereas playing in the Championship he won’t.

I don't think so personally. De Gea is the main reason we have a so called good defence. The shots on target against us through the season suggest our defence is not actually that good, just Dave is world class.
No way is Allison better than De Gea but I would definitely say Liverpool will be on par with us squad wise should they sign him. Add their style of play I believe they can finish above us, I think they would have had they exited the CL earlier, just like us the previous season we dropped off in league a lot and put all our eggs in the Europa run. Cant see anyone finishing above City though regardless of signings.

Yeah i think we need a right sided attacker more. But not sure who is available. Everyone seems to prefer thenleft wing these days.
But we have a pretty good squad as it is as well. Mourinho just needs to get the best out of them more cobsistently and figure out his team. He failed at that last season.

My suggestion is based on watching every United game and the stats on goal scoring chances saved by De Gea. So it is not disingenuous just my opinion based on what I see and read.
My suggestion regarding Liverpool is no solely based on Karius potentially being replaced by Allison, it is that I believe overall they are no better than us or no worse based on their current squad as they have improved greatly over the past few years with player additions and style of play.
Who knows where either team will finish but I highly doubt it will be above City who I strongly believe to have a better squad than everyone else.
