Not too outlandish a claim.

I mean I'm not a fan but you can't simply ignore the back-to-back laegue titles with Dortmund?
Some serious overrating of GK impact going on here.
I wouldn't laugh. Liverpool got 7 clean sheets in 14 games when van Dijk played. In games he didn't play they got 10 in 24.
Mignolet also started in 19 of their games and we all know how shit he is.
Exactly. We're stagnating MASSIVELY as it stands, which alarming and begs the question of what exactly is going on at our club. Have the owners told Jose 'no more money'?
Heard this every year for as long as i can remember, i aint worried.Liverpool could win the League this season.
Goodbye to another Manchester City youth player.
Who the hell are they?
The guy who runs the account is familiar with a number of scouts and officials at a number of clubs. He doesn't usually post rumours.Scouts in attendance? Is this actually a legit source?

The PL has much higher points-per-game demands if you want to finish first.I mean I'm not a fan but you can't simply ignore the back-to-back laegue titles with Dortmund?
I'm still living in hope that it's all quiet on our end beacuse there's something huge in the works. That's gotta be it, right?! Right?!?!
The points which Coutinho won them singlehandedly in the first half of the season shouldn't be left out so easily. It seems his individual brilliance has been forgotten, people are in for shock if they believe that Scouse can replace him longterm without any downside, there's a reason Barca paid over 100 mil. for him. Not sure the new signings can guarantee a similar amount of points.Liverpool are there. They are the closest team to Man City. Adding a top keeper. Their defence improved in the 2nd half of last season. They've reinforced the midfield with Keita and Fabinho. More depth to the attack with Shaqiri. The points dropped by their useless keepers and defence in the 1st half of last season won't be dropped this time. They can challenge for the league.
Agreed. If Liverpool sign Allison, their squad will probably be stronger than ours. We definitely need a few first team signings. Nothing to panic yet as there are several weeks left in the window, but we do need to strengthen. What’s with the denigrating of anyone who comments about how Liverpool are worryingly tooling up for a real title push? Too many childish complaints in here about posters being ‘dramatic’ and ‘melting down.’ Liverpool seem to have done fecking great business in areas where they needed to strengthen. Gone are the good old Summer days of Mario Balotelli and Stewart Downing. We only finished two wins ahead of them and their Champions League run will have given them great confidence. The third-year Mourinho wildcard means nothing is locked in. I’m not counting us out, far from it, but likewise I’m not going to stick my fingers in my ears and hum the nothing to see here song every time I read about them breaking another transfer record. We have a challenge ahead, starting right now - before the transfer window closes. This is what we (United) pay Mourinho the big bucks for. Game on!
I would rather we stick to Jones than splash £60M on Maguire.Good. Hopefully we're after Maguire.
Liverpool went from strength to strength when Coutinho left. They play brilliantly as a team. It's their defence and 'keeper that let them down. If they strengthen both areas then they are real title contenders. Only a fool would think otherwise. The points which Coutinho won them singlehandedly in the first half of the season shouldn't be left out so easily. For me United remain Citys closest rival, at this point we can't take over, but anything can still happen in the market so let's see.
Massively you say?

All the people moaning about how bad our new kit is need to take a look at this and think their self lucky.

A bad season from Bayern, and you can finish top with a good but not great points haul. That's not likely to happen in England (Leicester's season aside). Mourinho and Pep create machines that don't let up in that regard.
Even in a bad 2107/18 season, Mourinho got 2.13 points per game. How many times has Klopp achieved that? Not many.
Klopp builds open teams that perform well and even, occasionally, brilliantly. But the tradeoff is poor organisation and numbers at the back. You can survive those shortcomings for most of the season, but not all of the season. That's why he's not a great league manager.
Liverpool will drop more points they're "not supposed to" than either City or United. I honestly can't see anything else happening. Don't get blinded by the hype.
If anything Liverpool were better after Coutinho. They played as a team and got to the CL final. Coutinho is individually good but him leaving meant that everything didn't have to go through him. The dynamic between Salah, Mane and Firmino and the energy of Ox was a very strong base and now they've added to that with Shaqiri whilst strengthing the defensive midfield area and central defence plus the keeper. Is it possible we have been mismanaged financially? Are the big name signings with outrageous wages over the last few years coming back to bite us? What is happening at United? Underwhelming signings, ageing players it seems as if we won the league last season and don't need much improvement. No rumors, no serious sales of over 5 to 6 deadwoods in thr club instead signing a midfielder who seems not to know what sport he is playing at times. Rumors of our best players leaving. What a shame.

I disagree as he managed teams with talent which would not be comparable to the big guns, this season however he will have a decent squad with Liverpool so I expect them to push city close to the title, unfortunately. The PL has much higher points-per-game demands if you want to finish first.

I'm sure when they signed Karius he was the next big thing and Liverpool had finally sorted out their GK issues.
And with Alisson being mentioned for the 300th time since yesterday, there's a thread to discuss him too. There are two existing threads to bemoan the lack of transfers or how Liverpool is going to win the league. Take the discussions to either of those threads.
