Re-signing Cech would be disastrous. Been on the decline for a few years now. We need to leave his legacy intact.

God I really hope Chelsea lose both Courtios and Hazard, no way are they going to be able to properly replace them both in three weeks, is there even a top quality LW available?

Looks like things are getting going now that the World Cup is over. Going to be a crazy few weeks for the Premier League clubs.

It's going to be difficult to replace Hazard, there are quality LW like Reus, Draxler, Perisic, Pulisic, Bailey, Lozano, etc. But none of them is as good as Hazard.

Maybe it's just my less than positive mood about us lately, but wouldn't surprise me if we ending up selling Martial to Chelsea. Hopefully we price them out of it like we did Spurs though.

Hope Madrid swoop in and take Allisson. He's an excellent keeper without a doubt, nobody is saying he is De Gea level but he doesn't have to be really. The main thing they were missing on paper was even a competent goalkeeper, and if they get him, they'll have signed a very good one.

Basically, we have to pull our finger out of our ass, because if they complete this then they'll have the 2nd best team in the league on paper and playing very attacking football. You know Chelsea will spend more now that they've sorted our Sarri, and if they don't sell Hazard then they are up there as well, along with having a manager who plays attacking football. Having City, Liverpool and Chelsea all have better teams on paper and play far better football then us is the stuff of nightmares tbh. We need to start making some moves and massively improve.

Since when?

1 year left on his contract, price is about right.

Yeah, Liverpool kinda spent 40 m on Ox with a one year contract. He is top 3 keepers in the world. It would be pretty much the same like De gea case few years ago.

You said Pickford was better. Based on what? Allison has played at a higher level, Pickford conceded 70 goals last season. And the record fee is simply because the cost of players is so ridiculous nowadays.

Butland is closer to Pickford. Him or Casper Shm would be goodsigningsfor Liverpool

From the Article :

The hold-up on Sandro seems self-inflicted and with a bloated 30-man squad, the suspicion remains that United are having to sell before buying in certain areas.

As irritating that it is for supporters whose summer happiness is dependent on signings, United are resisting panic-buys and waiting on elite players in their remaining positions.

Hopefully with the sale of Blind, we will see some movement in the Sandro deal

Keepers never go for huge prices, especially when they have one year left on the contract and are pushing for a move

Since never.

I don't know why he thinks so.

"If the signings go through". Better teams all around. Chelsea you can argue both ways. Last season they were shite, the season before they walked the title. The season before they were shite, the season before that they walked the title. A midfield of Jorginho, Kante and Golovin on paper at least looks quality, plus having Hazard and Willian on the wings with Higuain top. I'd say that is on paper stronger and more complete and better balanced then what we can put out. Plus despite how inconsistent they are season to season, they still are much more recent title winners then we are (winning it twice). There are question marks with their goalkeeper position now if Courtois does indeed go to Madrid, but I doubt they'll have a Karius situation like Liverpool last season tbh.

For Liverpool, despite us being better defensively, I think most here would take Alexander-Arnold, robertson and Van Dijk (3 of their back 4). I'd definitely take Naby Keita, and it's hard to argue for any of our 3 most attacking players ahead of theirs based on last season, though Lukaku/Firmino would be a matter of preference/system dependent. No longer having a massive hole at the back if they do sign Allison is a massive boost for them too. Their starting 11, on paper, I'd probably say is better then ours if they do sign Allison.

Don't really think it's all that controversial to say they have better rounded teams. We have a massive hole for our right wing which makes our entire attack lopsided towards someone who looked past it since he signed, and we have everyone on here constantly complaining about our fullbacks and a group of centerbacks with question marks over every single one of them. I do think Mourinho is failing to get the best out of them, so probably a different manager would bring a higher level and make me rate them higher on paper... but looking at the levels they've shown under the current managers in charge (for Chelsea would be just levels they've shown anywhere in the recent past), I'd say we're our starting 11 is 4th.

I know Phil isn't highly regarded here anymore, but he said in a periscope that United have offered £30m+Darmian for Sandro and he expects the deal to go through (soon):

Can anyone give me some examples of transfers of decent players where there has been player swap+money involved? Straight out swaps I mean, was Mkhi - Sanchez one?
