Chelsea will rush to rival us for Allison now. If we lose out again because we’re not willing to pay up it’ll be so frustrating.
Mate, I'm telling you, I would be shocked if we go near him for that price. Maybe the Chelsea of 5 years ago but not now. That's the money our current leadership would only sanction for a top attacking talent. I think you're pretty safe in celebrating Alisson being a Liverpool player.

Since it became clear he was leaving you?
Nope. Most Chelsea fans I interact with on Chelsea boards are sick to death of his constant big mouth interviews about wanting to return to Spain. Couple that with him having only a decent but not great season.

Most aren't terribly bothered as long as we get a good replacement. Thibaut is a keeper who can look outstanding at times but not irreplaceable.

I would have agreed until what happened with Jorginho, and I'm sure Sarri would have demanded certain targets, Alison is said to have been one.

What's bigger his mouth or his nose?

Oh, I'm sure Sarri would love Alisson. As would I. But £70m!? I just can't imagine us spending that on a keeper. I'd be shocked if we spent that on a striker, honestly.

If Allisson played in the PL last season he’d be considered one of the best keepers in the world. He’s better than Courtouis and I’d put him over DDG in a lot of aspects as well.

Since we are just making things up and going silly, here goes:
Karius is the best one of them all.

What has Alisson done to make you think he has the potential to become top bracket in his position ahead of DDG Neuer Oblak etc?

Lukaku is Belgium's all time record goalscorer and has over 100 PL goals at 25. What's Alissons claim to fame? Sharing his last name with a tennis legend?

Sorry mate can you show me where I said he would be ahead of anyone.

Stop discussing Alisson and whether he's better or worse than x player. There's probably a thread in football/transfer forum for that. This thread is supposed to be for short discussion of tweets then moving on.

And to think Chelsea have up Cech for him as a 'long term replacement'.

No white text?

In fairness, he's better than De Gea with the ball at his feet and better coming off his line, too. De Gea is obviously the superior shot stopper.

Duncan Castles said today in his podcast that Chelsea are looking at both Alisson and Kasper Schmeichel (would cost about a third of Alisson) as their potential Courtois replacements (although Roma are also considering Schmeichel as their Alisson replacement).

So Leicester are willing to sell their #1 keeper for about 20 million pounds?

What will City benfit of signing Pjanic while they have KDB and Silva starting with B.Silva and Gundogan on the bench ? No one say it's to replace the aging David Silva because guess what, his replacement was supposed to be the 50m B.Silva.
Pjanic plays as a deep lying playmaker, similar to Jorginho.
IMO B. Silva is going to end up rotating with Silva/KDB and also to cover the wings if needed.

Why should you waste time giving flying feck over how much Liverpool pays for Alisson. It's mad market these days. Is there any need to be like some of them lot and ridicule the price of our transfers which look good on paper? They're addressing their main weakness. If he hits the ground running and makes them better nobody will laugh. They just lose any credibility when ridiculing our future acqusitions' price tags, that's all.

Has anyone one seen Sky Sports Home page?

They have an article at the bottom which says ‘Sky Sources’ have told them there is no interest in Alisson by Liverpool.

Then there is a breaking news line at the top saying they have made a bid . Which one is it then?

Sky doing their best to encourage people to bet on Allison to Chelsea.

I've read plenty of the 'ridiculing your acquisition' line hereand that was for Paul Pogba. Had Klopp or anyone else from Liverpool ridiculed your acquisition after that? This track is getting a bit old now, isn't it? The market really has gone crazy since that acquisition (which was quite high at the time). Then Neymar happened.

I mean, Danny Ings is being quoted at 20 million if you believe what you read. Man City doesnt even consider bidding for a player if the price tag is lwss than 50 million. Transfers are crazy these days.

I still think we're overpaying for a player (just like VvD) that isn't in the upper echelons of the footballing world yet; however, he massively would improve our GK situation and hopefully can make the difference for us just the way DDG does for you guys. And he is only 25, and has room for further improvement. Just hope our GK coach also gets upgraded :)

You have no idea how envious I have been to see him get you extra points season after season with his saves.

A Tier 1 for Real Madrid news:
Real Madrid are not expected to make any ‘galactico’ signing as the transfer prices are exorbitant & will cost around €400M. They will bet on young talents like Asensio and Vinicius as the club doesn’t want to break the salary limits. (translation from reddit)

This is why Bale wont be leaving, they'll need him this season. I think Asensio can step up with regular game time but they need a new #9 to replace Benzema.

"Tuttosport says that Inter Milan continue to be reluctant to sell the Croatian international, and would consider his value to be €70m plus Matteo Darmian."

I really hope we release him and pay his wages, he is absolutely useless steealing time to other young players

Chelsea and Liverpool are doing very well.
Agree about Pool but what are Chelsea doing that so good?
Sarri hasn't won a major trophy in his managing career if I'm not wrong
They are about to loose on of the top 5 keepers in the world and are probably going to replace him with Kasper who isn't as good
Hazard is yet to sign a new contract and is looking for a move
They do not have a proper striker, Morata is struggling and Giroud IMO was very poor in the world cup
They have signed Jorginho who if I'm not wrong has had 1/2 good seasons,we will have to wait and see if he is going to do well
And about Rugani and Golovin - even many Juve fans I asked on here don't really care that he's leaving, apparently he hasn't developed like they expected him to and have another young CB with a higher potential on loan
Golovin - looked good in the WC, but I doubt if anyone had ever heard about him before the WC. He had one good tournament

“Neymar and Mbappe live in Golden Cages.”

This from the club that invented Galactico signings and has been holding Bale and CR7 with exhobitant salaries for years.
