He looks like he swallowed an 8 ball. His lack of chin concerns me. And he's 29, which is the universal age of death for footballers, so he could go under any day now.

His equaliser was a good finish though.

That's all I know about him. Let's get him.

 genuinely the best reason I've seen to be concerned by the transfer

Perisic played somwhat 35 out of 37 games in the serie a for Inter as a LW. He is not a RW as some people say he may suit. We need a player where RW is the natural position....

But to be fair, Perisic did well at Inter last season (and been solid for several seasons). Last season Icardi and Perisic ran the show where Inter were the clear leader of the serie a up until xmas times, where they had a massive drop and just about managed to get into top 4 on the last game of the season.

Last season Perisic delivered 11 goals and 9 assists in the serie a alone, that is impressive numbers for a winger imo.
Depends what you mean by clear leader. They were top on matchday 15 and 16 at the beginning of December with a 1 point lead then dropped away hugely after that. Prior to that Napoli, Juve, Lazio and AS Roma were all pretty close in the table with Napoli the team who was mostly the leader.

I'm convinced we're going to end up playing 352 next season. Too many of our players seem to suit the formation. Peresic at LWB would be decent business.
overstocking in defenders as well and the fact that Fred, Pogba and Matic would all consider themselves first team starters does suggest we would go this way. Sanchez alongside Lukaku then with Rashford and Martial as back ups.

Doesn't bode well for Lingard though.

If Perisic arrives I really hope we are moving to 3-5-2 and he will slot in as LWB. Doesn't make any sense to buy him as LW when we already have Sanchez, Martial, Rashford already competing there. And even then I'd rather buy Sandro as LWB if that is the plan.

I don't know, José seems to like his banks of 4, and, as England showed on Wednesday, 3-5-2 has a pretty glaring weakness (width).

Another left winger? While we don't fixed the absolute GLARING! problems in our squad like Left back, right wing and centre back.

This club is slowly declining to a death with the height of stupidity with these transfers
Don't agree with any of this to be honest.Starting with the left backs.Ashley Young is on his last legs BUT has had a fantastic WC so I would be happy to see him have one more season with us while we finally get Luke Shaw settled as no.1.I cannot justify us spunking silly money(although i'm more than happy for us to splash cash)on a left back when we have a world beater playing for us already.Add Demi Mitchell to that position who i'd like to see us give a chance.

Centre back is the one position where we are fully stocked.
Eric Bailly will hopefully cement his position is 1st choice and the battle then is for one of the other 4 to stake a claim to be his partner.
If we are to spend then based on what I saw at the WC Harry Maguire would be my preferred choice as a Ball player.

Right wing?well if we cant fit one of Sanchez,Rashford,Martial or Mata into that position then i'm not sure who we can get in.

Bale is a superstar who I would never say no to,but if he comes in we lose one of those palyers(Martial?)
I'm not quite sure why you would not be happy with Perisic,he has looked a class act at the WC and he gave England big problems in the Semi-Final.I'd happily sacrifice Mata for Perisic as he offers Pace, fast dribbling and an obvious goal threat and accurate crossing.

I think we're almost done with transfers. Judging by the last two seasons, we've wanted most players to be in the squad by pre-season. Left back and right wing are the required positions, but I think Jose will trust Young and Shaw to do the job for the former. As for the latter, we're definitely in for Bale as the marquee signing. And maybe, Perisic as back up. However, I do think Jose would be fairly happy if we ended up with either and stopped there.

Luke Shaw has failed as LB, for 4 seasons. You now want to give him a 5th season?
What logic is being used here - genuine question.

Agreed on all of the above, though, which is why I am perplexed on the logic being used for Shaw.

When a player linked to the club performed well in the World Cup:

Caftards: You can't judge a player based on the World Cup! Don't sign him!

When a player linked to the club underperformed in the World Cup:

Caftards: He had a bad World Cup! Don't sign him!

Lets not forget he's only 22.The leg break may have fecked his brain up but I just see a class left back here.

If this is true, then where exactly is Jose planning to play Sanchez this season?
He wanted Perisic to be a wingback in a 3-5-2 last year, safe to say that'll be the plan again.

Can play on the left or right also, so good for depth.

Borussia Mönchengladbach confirm the signing of Nice strike Alassane Plea and the sale of center back Jannik Vestergaard to Southampton.

️ Bale: ➡️ "Maybe I'll stay in Real Madrid, maybe not. I have to talk to my agent, I need more minutes "

Probably better than both Smalling and Jones, but is he a leader type centre back? That's what we need.

I don't know about his leadership qualities but i do actually think his best position would be in along side VVD.

why dignity they just buy him straight back make a ton of profit

Because the player would have to agree to the move...I don't understand why people think a buy back clause being met instantaneously means the player has to re-join.

He’s saying he hasn’t seen his overhead kick.

His agent is Jonathan Barnett, English.

@endless_wheelies mentioned that he captained Hull, but I think we actually need someone who immediately commands respect and I can't think of many (Bonucci being one). Maguire would probably be good for you lot, Arsenal, and probably an upgrade on City's options. Seeing as we currently have 5 centre backs, I'd personally rather hold out for a higher quality one. If we'd sell 2-3 centre backs and buy 2, I'd be happy with signing him, but he's not a leader IMV.
