I would too. I watch every Atletico game and I rate him but he isn't great going forward generally. Very solid defensively though. I think they are going for Sidibe to add a more attacking element (Juanfran was great going forward) and likewise Sidibe is said to be wanting to join so that he can improve defensively.
Why don't people want Maguire he's a very good player

Maguire is good but I'm not sure about him - with Alderweireld i feel hes the better defender of the two. He also has CL experience and comes across as more of a leader.
We were interested in him before the world cup. It's not like he was unknown, he's been playing in the PL every week.
Would absolutely love Maguire. Solid, big and makes good runs eventhough looks a bit clumsy.

We also have TFM/Tuanzebe. CB is not a major concern, unless a World Class prospect is available (This would not be Maguire in any case, thinking more Varane/Gimenez.....)

With Maguire I feel that we have been looking at him as one of the options and his performances at the World Cup have just cemented the thoughts that he can push on
I remember several posters saying we should be buying Maguire instead of Lindelof last summer.
Unless we're planning a switch to 3cb system he's gonna get find out and 50m is nuts given we have pressing issues elsewhere.
To be fair a back 3 wouldn't be out of the question i think. I'd be down for signing Maguire as long as the back 3 isn't him with Jones and Smalling.
