It is truly baffling that we get linked to yet another left sided player.
Turns 30 in Feb and his game is based on pace. A real risk of only seeing 1 or 2 good years, maybe 3. Depending on the cost it might not be a good investment.
I'd say his game is based on relentlessness and graft. Pace is always a concern, but he's not a one trick pony. He's got a required mentality.
He can also play on the right.
That makes sense, we only have 4 left wingers at the club. Clearly we're in dire need of another one.
He isn't even that good either, he's a workhorse which is why Mourinho loves him, but creatively and as a goal threat he's run of the mill and people are getting hyped off of a World Cup game, he was poor the game before and that's what he's like at club level, inconsistent despite his age. The only way he's ever made any sense is if we are planning to use him as a LWB in 3-5-2 where his workrate and crossing would be maximized and we could still play 3 forwards without wasting a spot on a guy that is basic and doen't score much.
That relentlessness requires serious stamina and pace! But yes he actually has skills as well and can cross so would bring a lot to United, but he will have a harder time adjusting his game as he slows down/ has less energy.
Perisic would be perfect, hard working and his crossing is world class.

Perisic's energy doesn't come from his physicality. It comes from his mentality and genetics. Some players just have that about them and they don't lose it. See Mandzukic who runs relentlessly despite being in his final years as a footballer.
Perisic as LB? The left sided Valencia but he can cross
Perisic doesn't make sense as he is left winger and we have Sanchez who will play as LW.
This perisic thing is huge bs. He is left winger. Not rw. And we have 3 players there. Plus one of them is our most expensive player.

An attacker who provides width, can score and assist, and probably can slot in as wing-back.
I am sold. He will do. Sanchez could theoretically play on the right, or through the middle with Lingard on the right. A Perisic-Lukaku-Lingard front three with Sanchez as SS sounds workable.
He looks like he swallowed an 8 ball. His lack of chin concerns me. And he's 29, which is the universal age of death for footballers, so he could go under any day now.

Some people on here are unbelievable.
Mate, it's a frigging rumour by a no body. No other sources have reported anything similar, not even the Italian Transfer God.
And even if it turns out to be true, me, with my average football knowledge can guess that he's gonna be playing as LWB, like Valencia and he can cross very well too.
Also, the club is not declining to death, second in the league (highest position in five years) and a FA Cup Final is not declining.

Perisic played somwhat 35 out of 37 games in the serie a for Inter as a LW. He is not a RW as some people say he may suit. We need a player where RW is the natural position....
But to be fair, Perisic did well at Inter last season (and been solid for several seasons). Last season Icardi and Perisic ran the show where Inter were the clear leader of the serie a up until xmas times, where they had a massive drop and just about managed to get into top 4 on the last game of the season.
Last season Perisic delivered 11 goals and 9 assists in the serie a alone, that is impressive numbers for a winger imo.

Inter were ripping us off badly last summer, they’d be trying to rip us off even worse seeing as he’s about to potentially become a World Cup winner.
He can also play RW or maybe wingback in a back 3.

I'm convinced we're going to end up playing 352 next season. Too many of our players seem to suit the formation. Peresic at LWB would be decent business.
