I think so, the director of the newspaper deals a lot with Florentino. It could be said that it is the closest newspaper to Madrid, so he publishes what they allow him, although it may be that many times they use him to see the reaction of the people (Florentino makes constant surveys among the socios). It is not the first time they have written about Rashford, but it does not seem like anything serious. Surely Madrid are perfectly aware of the difficulty.

You have to take into account the market has at least doubled since the Ronaldo sale. Neymar and Mbappe giving a good yard stick and Countinho in amongst that.
Thus on a like for like basis his price is almost half.
But either way, at the time it was a phenomenal and unprecedented price. I think it was near enough the max we could have got, the difference is we wouldn't have sold if he didn't want to go.
