Barca's scouting has been very impressive of late. Getting linked to the right players all the time, more so than before.

Ermm, like who?
The likes of Coutinho, Dembele, Griezmann?
Coutinho and Dembele IMO are very good players but they do not exactly fit the Barcelona style, especially Dembele.
Arthur may come good but he isn't exactly a hidden gem, wasnt he the player of the tournament in the Brazilian league?
Lengelt? Many clubs are after him, including us ( allegedly), mainly because he is cheap
And SMS? Again not a hidden talent for them to have discovered him through their great scouting.
To be frank, I don't like what Barca has become. They are looking to sign big names / Galacticos at the same time they are ignoring their academy and have lost few talented kids.
If you look at Real, they have been buying talented youngsters like Cabellos, Theo Hernandez, the Brazilian kids, that new 19 y/o GK, and are targeting Odriozola.
Barca have fallen behind in the race for talented youngsters.Cebellos could have been a good player for them, same with Theo Hernandez but Barca decided to funnel their funds into buying Coutinho.
And I'm not even going to talk about their previous signings.Turan, Digne, Andre Gomes, Deulofeu, Vermaelen are a few flops from the top of my head.
?? Mbappe literally went to PSG despite knowing every team in the world would be after him. He wouldnt have gone there if he didnt want to. Monaco would've gotten a feck ton of money from anyone. It's not some bollocks about tiers. We blatantly dont have the same draw for certain players anymore, nothing wrong with admitting that. Until we start seriously competing for the big trophies again, I dont think that will change. Of course we can still lure in big players... but we arent the top pick. Doesnt matter that we're a bigger team then City or PSG, that doesn't change that they're both currently better sides and can offer more money and are better suited to attacking players.
I don't mean they are bad players or bad signings but IMO from what I've seen of Coutinho and Dembele, I just don't feel they are perfect for a possession based system.By scouting, I am not talking strictly about unknowns but good players in general. Moving from signing the likes of Gomes, Turan, etc to Coutinho, Dembele, etc is certainly a better policy. They are getting linked to good players as opposed to suspect ones.
Secondly, give Coutinho a full season before judging him as "not suited for Barca". Even Dembele may have a future yet.

Both of them are best at running with the ball, quick transitions and in the case of Coutinho, long range shooting. Those traits are not best used In a possession based system IMO.
Transition in terms of team and players maybe, not in terms of tactics. Barca are not going to change tactics, they play the same way at every age group in their academy.Barca by and large seem in a transition themselves of sorts. You may be right about Dembele but Coutinho has too much class and intelligence about him to not adapt. Give him time, even Suarez took a few months to really get going when he joined Barca.
Different one seven years ago: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-Brazilian-Rafael-Leao-Manchester-United.htmlWasn't Leao in the United's reserves, or on a trial here long time ago?
That was a really weird year. There was like 5 of those Desportivo players on lodge at us. Felt very dodgy.Different one seven years ago: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-Brazilian-Rafael-Leao-Manchester-United.html
Sometimes it's said to see how some of our fans underestimate their own club.
Ah thanks, the name sounded familiar to me but I couldn't google it.Different one seven years ago: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-Brazilian-Rafael-Leao-Manchester-United.html
Marca said Real aren't going to let him go easily. With us they'd probably demand £20M more than they'd ask of Juventus or Roma anyway.
The link says €300M. Real Madrid tend to do high release clauses. Is there not a €50m release clause? If so Real can't do dick.
I never understood the kovacic hype. It always felt like real's midfield quality dropped when he played, not that it's easy to replace modric, kroos or casemiro but still he never really looked the part.

I still say the BOOM! In my head when I read the tweetNo Boom ?

There's no way his release calsue is €50m.
Yeah but they were a club that was simply a farm to loan out young players.Nothing dodgy, it was an agreement we had with them, they were an affiliate club.
Well isn't he an idiotIt was, until last year, when Real renegotiated a load of player contracts in the wake of the Neymar transfer - his new release clause is €300m and his contract has 3 years remaining.
