All I've got from this window so far is West Ham and Inter are trying to sign every player available.
Same as every other window. All I've got from this window so far is West Ham and Inter are trying to sign every player available.
MEN have got that Fred as the replacement for Carrick, but it would make sense that Fred, seeing as he is a box to box midfielder, is Fellaini's replacement.
I guess MEN feel that a replacement for Fellaini will need to be over 6ft. Against Chelsea, Mourinho mentioned that without Lukaku and Fellaini we lacked 'presence'. Bringing in a tall player, who we could bring on and occasionally start to give us that presence, both defensively and offensively, would be an advantage.
Players like Talisca, Pellegrini, Sergej, Rabiot, Loftus-Cheek, Dendonker would be ideal.
That said, we have a player in McTominay, who, since he's joined our first team squad, has been brilliant, in my opinion.
At 6ft4, I don't see why he couldn't replace Fellaini. He's physical, works hard, gets up and down the pitch and is tactically very good.
Then the addition of Fred means we've got that conductor in midfielder.
To me, Pogba, Matic, Fred, Herrera, Lingard and McTominay are enough midfielders going into next season.
Pogba/Lingard
Fred/McTominay
Matic/Herrera
Matic will be gassed by Xmas especially if Serbia stay in the W.C. we need another midfielder.Suppose it all depends how Fred turns out. I’d he hits the ground running and complements Pogba & Matic (assuming we’re playing them as a midfield 3) then it’s all good. If he doesn’t, we’re light.
That's it. This confirms for me the admin of this official Roma account can't be older than 15 years old.
Probably their new backup keeper.Allisson replacement?
Herrera can cover Matic, he had his best season playing as No.6.Matic will be gassed by Xmas especially if Serbia stay in the W.C. we need another midfielder.
If we don't make an attempt to sign him now it can only be described as criminal or complete ineptness from our part.
50 million € release clause. We shouldn't let this opportunity pass.

Well yes? Are you trying to tell me that we have a better midfield than Real?Cause the path to the starting XI is more open at United? He'll be in the same situation he finds himself in Madrid.

I get your point... if Kovacic is leaving Madrid is because he wants to play more. The problem is that he would be in a similar situation with us. I hope he doesn't sign for City or Liverpool. We shouldn't have bought Fred if this lad was available.

BTW, Thiago is also available.
We can always bench Fred and deploy a midfield of Matic, Kovacic and Pogba, Mourinho did say we'll buy 2 CMs if Fellaini is off. £50 mil for a bench warmer would be excessive given that we still has have so many holes in our squad.
Thiago's past it imo. Was supposed to be the next midfield maestro but hasn't fulfilled his potential. He's a very good player though and wouldn't mind him at a resonable fee.
You're right Fred hasn't done anything for us yet. Or we could have a squad of good players playing in rotation like all the other top tier teams .We can always bench Fred and deploy a midfield of Matic, Kovacic and Pogba, Mourinho did say we'll buy 2 CMs if Fellaini is off. £50 mil for a bench warmer would be excessive given that we still has have so many holes in our squad.

You are right, Mourinho said that. Let's see what kind of player he wants. We can always bench Fred and deploy a midfield of Matic, Kovacic and Pogba, Mourinho did say we'll buy 2 CMs if Fellaini is off. £50 mil for a bench warmer would be excessive given that we still has have so many holes in our squad.

Has Kovacic? I could have told him how it would turn out at Real. Always been overhauled on here.

So, who do you think is better... Thiago or Kovacic?
When did he say that btw? Was it before or after McTominay broke into the team as a sub?We can always bench Fred and deploy a midfield of Matic, Kovacic and Pogba, Mourinho did say we'll buy 2 CMs if Fellaini is off. £50 mil for a bench warmer would be excessive given that we still has have so many holes in our squad.

...and JuventusI can see Bayern coming in for him.
The last position they need to reinforce is their midfield.I can see Bayern coming in for him.
The last position they need to reinforce is their midfield.
They have problems in their attack especially with wingers but if they let Vidal and Thiago go, then maybe
I think my logic is fine, thanks. The path to our starting XI is obviously more open because he has a better chance of displacing one of our current starting midfielders than he has at Real. I don't know what's hard to understand about that. How did you infer that? Logic can't be your strong point. I'm saying we have better players than Kovacic and he wants to play. Ergo it's not good for him to be here any more than it is to be at Madrid. He'd still be 4th/5th in line.
Kluivert could easily pass for Smalling’s younger brother
