I hope Mata does leave, great guy but we need a quality right winger if we want to progress.
Can't Mata just sit on our bench and look lovely, and then model all the retro Adidas kits we release and just be a great all round guy with the occasional appearance against Fulham and Brighton at home?

Proven quality with a 44 mill buyout clause no brainer you ask me. We only have 5 midfielders in Fred Pogba Matic Mctominay and Herrera. I believe Fellaini will leave giving us room for a 6th and an upgrade over Fellaini as well.

I love Mata... I doubt he will be a regular starter at Barca either.. If he is, he should go. Would be a great move for him.

It is a nobrainer cause Matic is our only midfielder thats comfortable under pressure. So tired of watching us hoof the ball everytime we are put under some pressure.

We have Andreas Pereira coming back as well. We don't really need to get another CM unless a top class one is available.
We aren't stacked with class though, that's what needs to change.
I would love for us to give Pereira a chance but Kovacic is proven quality. Very diffrent midfielders as well to be fair Pereira is more of a creater whereas Kovacic likes to dictate from deep.

I wouldn't mind swapping Mata for Fekir . I know Aulas is mostly bullshitting about serious talks with Mourinho . But Mourinho has a history of poaching opposition team's transfer targets and he doesn't like Liverpool much so you never know . It's entirely possible that Fekir might interest him as a right sided midfielder .
Aulas is a nightmare of a president, all that talking would do my head in. Loves the attention.

You might love Mata the guy but his performances are well below what is needed or even expected. It's laughable to think he'd get a game at Barca never mind at united.
Different style of play though. I think Mata will be a good option for them, especially off the bench or as a rotation option.
