If anything, I thought Fred was the more defensive minded of the two, with Fred being a more accomplished DM and Rabiot being a more accomplished CM?

Anyway, I'm all for signing Rabiot! Young talent, who's also tall.
I think Fred is best utilized as a defensive #8 rather than a #6 because Fred is pretty good at dribbling and carrying the ball forward from defense.
He has also scored a few goals as he has a good shot on him.
All those attributes would be wasted by playing him as a #6
Also he isn't tall enough or big enough to be a Mourinho #6

Alright, thanks for the insight. I haven't watched Fred at all, other than a few games in the CL and some YouTube vids.

They are after De Li

Not really. If he has one bad game in 5, nobody would. Lindelöf unfortunately has one good game in 5, so of course he is not up to the task.

What if De Ligt turns out to be similar to Lindelof? Would we want him sold after a season, too?

Im sorry but this post is absolute rubbish. Back up the 1 game in 5 quote and tell me how a 23 year old after his first season with the club is not up to the task? Its just lazy fan boy nonsense in my opinion so prove me wrong.

He wont, he is just better than Lindelöf in every aspect of the game.

I would, if he actually played enough to get to 15 games. He needs a PL loan, 10 games a season and a few CL appearances wont make him better. 35 PL games at another club and we could see what the real deal is. So far he was underwhelming, nothing suggess he would improve much next season here. You can be behind a player and be patient, but this season will be no escaping for him. My opinion is that without regular game time, he wont be ready for us here. So him staying here as a squad player is not beneficial to us and him

I like Lindelöf a lot, and think he'll come good! I think his main issue was the insane pressure of coming here. He went from a promising talent, to basically the hottest athlete in Sweden (bar Zlatan) in no time. He looked very nervous in the beginning of his United career, but showed promise towards the end of the season.

Guess Man Utd are one step ahead again. The Pogba transfer was the start of the Crazy Video reveals. Now they have shifted their attention to Gif's...

I still don't understand why the feck Juve changed their club badge, it looks absolutely hideous.

the last scramble between the end of the world cup and the transfer window closing early will be glorious though.

One can hope!

That's when us muppets will rejoice.

It’s mint. Having a simple clean logo is a great foundation to build a brand on, rather than a highly detailed crest, a bit like the New York Yankees did. We’ll see other clubs go this way eventually I think.

Opinions will always differ about design stuff, but I love it. It's clean and crisp, and that makes it easier to design around.

“Manchester United? I heard from them and it made me proud,” Skriniar told the Slovakian federation’s official website.
“But I’m even happier that Inter decided to reject it and that they believe so much in me.”

Unlikely we'd go for Kovacic, just announced Fred moments ago. Shame, Kovacic would have been perfect for us.

Carrick retired, Fellaini leaving, Herrera might leave next season.

There would be room for him if we went to a 3 man midfield, there is enough defensive prowess between him, Fred and Pogba to play without a dedicated DM.
